Petite Anse Beachfront Hotel & Restaurant offers romance, great food and a refreshing escape. With a spectacular view from every room stretching over to the islands of Carriacou and the Grenadines, you'll be relaxing in a spot that has been described as 'idyllic, pristine and romantic'. Nestled under swaying palm trees in a beautiful tropical garden, we overlook a stunning palm-studded beach. Leatherback turtle watching, a boat trip to beautiful Sandy Island and good hiking are all accessible. Independent travellers who want to escape the madding crowd and discover the real Grenada will love the location and ambience. We offer weddings, honeymoons, blessings, retreats for yoga and business and other occasions. We grow as much of our own organic produce as we can for our restaurant and bar. We also have a pool and a beach. We may be a 90 minute drive away from the airport, but when you arrive you'll know why our guests return time and time again.

Don't let my tardiness in the review take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. To experience as much as we could we decided split our trip to Grenada in two locations. And after reading some reviews on this site and other research we chose petit anse for the first leg and definitely made a good choice. We didn't want to try the driving ourselves so we arranged airport pickup through the hotel, and it couldn't have been easier. Our driver spotted us before we saw him and we are off in minutes. He was able to stop at the ATM and at a shop for some beer and snacks for the room, as well as history of the beautiful island. It was about an hour and half drive up(glad we didn't do it ourselves). Upon arrival we were met immediately by Donna, her friendliness and enthusiasm let us know we were in for a fantastic stay. We were led to our ocean front cabin, with a porch and hammock looking directly out to the grenadines. Really all the rooms had spectacular views. The gardens were very well kept and beautiful. Since it's the north side the waves are relentless, but you could swim and play in them and made for an extremely peaceful night's sleep. The shower was private but looked out to the ocean, very cool. The room was large and had a fridge, ac worked great and very clean. There was a nice pool right by the bar/restaurant that overlooked the ocean. Also very clean and plenty of lounge chairs. We made friends with Marvin the bartender right away and he made sure we weren't thirsty. Explaining the various rums from Grenada, make sure you try Rivers. Also ask him for a jungle bird. His friendliness was indicative of how the hotel is run. We had the half board plan and it was perfect for us. Excellent breakfasts you can get traditional Grenadian breakfast with pickled fish and baked (kind of a fritter) and cocoa tea (hot chocolate). Or even an English style breakfast, as the owners are English. And a nice greeting from the local cats. Dinner was also very good, it was slow season so some of the dishes were repetitive especially with fish, but it was all very good and well made. One of the truly best aspects of Petit Anse is how they really go out of their way to provide you with opportunities to see this side of the island. We hired a guide to take us to Belmont estate, he waited while we took the fantastic tour (bring bug repellent the flies are necessary for the chocolate but your legs will pay for it). We had lunch with him there, great buffet. Then he drove us to pearls airport, never driven on an airstrip before. Next was Rivers distillery, you could smell it a mile away. If you like Rum you need to go. And finally we stopped at the bathway Beach. A fantastic day, all set up by petit anse. Our final excursion was to sandy island, this is a must. The hotel provides you with food and beer for a picnic, transportation to the pier at sauters, a local fisherman takes you to the uninhabited island. We had the whole island to ourselves and had a lunch of fresh caught grilled fish. We snorkeled and explored for hours. If you grew up in the UK or Ireland in the 80s it's where the bounty chocolate ads were filmed. Truly unspoiled Caribbean paradise. We were sad to leave to but we were heading to grand anse next. And they set up transportation back with another great driver, who asked where we had been so he took as a different way to make sure we saw even more of the island. And when we left Donna gave us a big hug, it felt like a vacation from our vacation. Definitely visit the north side and get away even further at petit anse

We arrived to a very warm.welcome from the reception staff. Taken to our room which was 12 feet from the sea with a hammock on the verandah. The sea is choppy but does not detract from the beauty. Would have preferred a door to the toilet. Breakfast was a disaster. We arrived to find we could not have a local breakfast as needed to give 24 hours notice. This is only stated on the menu so if like me, you are staying 1 night you have no opportunity to get their local breakfast. My cousin asked which oil her eggs would be fried in as she has allergies, the response was "I don't know!" I asked the waitress of she could ask the kitchen staff. As she went off we went to the buffet table which was located on the other side of the kitchen wall. The conversation coming from the kitchen about our request was disgusting with lots of profanities. As the waitress reentered the dining area and saw us at the buffet table she ran back into the kit hen, not realising I saw her. At this point I had no faith in ordering anything from the kitchen so we ate some fruits and left. We so looked forward to our stay but left feeling disgusted.

This is our second stay at Petite Anse, located at the north end of Grenada. PA is for people seeking a relaxed, laid-back, comfortable, and beautiful experience. Staff are highly personable and attentive. Accommodations, comfortable but not luxe, are in small cottages scattered about the property. At PA you can do nothing more than watch the surf and various boats pass by or you can discover the island on your own with a rental car or via personal tours. Hiking is encouraged. Breakfast is included in the room and the offerings are broad. There is an extensive all-day menu and a nightly dinner menu. The dinner menu changes daily and the food is creative and well prepared. The bar is extensive and drinks are some of the best. It’s a special boutique hotel for people who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of St. George’s and don’t want to stay in a resort. It feels like family there.

We have visited Petite Anse a number of times, visiting for the first time in 2010 the year after it opened. We were entranced and have remained so over many visits. There are so many things to recommend it, its position and views cannot be surpassed. Its simple individual cabins provide privacy and comfort, with the deck being a place to chill out. Staff, and especially housekeeping, are wonderful. Special mention goes to Aran, housekeeping and Melvin in the bar with his great cocktails. Nash who looks after the grounds always has a cheery wave or a chat. Our first glimpse of pelicans is always a great thrill. Its isolation away from mass tourism and a feeling that you are in the middle of nature. Over the years we have seen changes. Staff changes, some as a result of Covid and some as a result of circumstances. We have missed these people. There is a very attractive pool and on initial visits was very enjoyable but advancing years and stiff limbs have meant access to the pool is very difficult as there is no hand rail. The beach is lovely but neglected. I know beaches in Grenada are public property but a little care would make it more appealing. This has been a bit of a swan song as this has been our last visit. We find the journey which involves a trip from the Midlands to the airport followed by the 10 hour flight and then the journey to PA quite stressful, and even more this time when there was a 24 hour delay at Grenada airport. PA is very special to us and holds many wonderful memories. Thank you Philip and Annie for having the dream to build such a remarkable place.

Stayed six nights. Very professionally run hotel and fabulous setting looking north to Grenadines. Staff without exception all very friendly and very professional. Couldn’t fault it in any way. We are there most of the time. The meals were always delicious and portions very substantial.

A truly delightful stay. Very comfortable bungalow, wonderful staff, great location, splendid food. Ace cocktails - either with or without alcohol. We had been aboard a yacht for six weeks and were looking for somewhere to get some peaceful relaxation and Petit Anse was the perfect choice. We'll be back one day soon - by air!

Petit Anse is a nice place to stay to explore the North of Grenada. The individual cottages are well equipped and clean and each has outdoor decking with pleasant seating and a hammock - a pleasant space to relax privately. The hotel does lack some character and personality - previous reviews allude to the owners warmly welcoming and interacting with guests but we weren't aware of the owner's presence whilst we were there. Staff and other guests were friendly. The restaurant and bar area is a little dated and could be improved with a bit of an update. The pool area is pleasant but we didn't spend any time at the beach - it's not maintained by the hotel at all so there is lots of debris bought in by the rough Atlantic, no beach chairs and stray dogs that will bother you. The ocean is best enjoyed from the bar's balcony above. Food and drinks were mostly good - some dishes could be improved by a 'less is more' approach; some dishes we thought suffered from having a European twist added to them (fancy sauces, undercooked sides of veg etc) The region is quiet in terms of things to do, so we enjoyed taking it easy instead most of the time. The trip to nearby Sandy Island organised by the hotel was special - a truly tropical island experience.

Beautiful and peaceful location for a hotel and holiday. Lets start with the positives: 1. The setting and views are stunning; one wakes up each morning looking due north to the Grenadines across crystal clear water... 2. The rooms are large and the bathrooms well equipped 3. The terrace to each room is great and is reasonably private 4. The beach is deserted 5. The gardens are well attended and the pool is in a good setting 6. The bar and bar staff are wonderful - the cocktails are the very best! 7. Breakfast is excellent The items that could be better are: 1. The beach faces north-east and so gets the prevailing wind most of the time; this makes the resort less prone to mosquitoes, but does make it very breezy. The sea is also quite rough and so nor for the faint hearted - only for strong swimmers. 2. The pool is quite shabby; some additional loungers and umbrellas would be helpful. 3. The food is not great (breakfast and the Sunday BBQ aside). Options locally are limited, but try Almost Paradise for dinner. 4. Some of the beachfront cottages are very exposed to the wind which may make the stay less peaceful... 5. You do need a car. You are miles from anywhere and it will take you 2 hours to reach St George's on a good run!

We stayed at Petite Anse (PA) for 4 nights in early December. Had a lovely relaxing time. Can highly recommend the Sunday walk to the local beach and bar, an opportunity to meet up with local residents and others staying in the area. Also enjoyed Sandy Island trip. Phil and Annie have a lovely place here. The views are amazing, cocktails good and food very enjoyable.

Wow! We we’re looking for a low-key / minimal frills, but nice place to spend a 10-day vacation. Petite Anse exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was very friendly and fun to interact with. A special thanks to Octavia, Melvin, Kavina, Nasha, Nakuru, and Marissa. They helped make it a great experience. If you want to relax and chill, this is a great place to go.
