Well firstly let me say that if I had read the below review I most certainly would not have stayed at Rumboat Retreat...BUT Im so glad that I did. Im not quite sure which guesthouse the previous poster stayed in as it certainly wasnt this one (no lights in rooms, plug sockets hanging off etc)! Also the fact that the...

There are many things wrong here, the most fundamental is that the property is 'over-marketed', ie the facilities do not in any way approach what would be expected for the price being charged. Missing are, no direct credit card machine (payment via the cloud using un-secured Wifi), A/C, ice, adequate lighting to see in the rooms, bathroom, balcony, and steps...

I would usually start by thanking our guest for feedback. However In this case the only input I have is that tripadvisor needs to install a review your guest button. You and your wife who also left a review on the 25th of March were asked to leave the property after the first night. At hindsight I wish we had...

Great location. Definitely hire a jeep though as quite remote. Be warned the 'Sea view' room we was in got very hot throughout the day and no air con. Bathroom good size. Mosquitos plentiful so take lots of bug spray. We were there on honeymoon and excited to experience the fun atmosphere of Rum Boat and buzz that many previous...

Catstirling, We thank you very much for your review. It is always helpful to get feedback from our guests. Because of the size of the doors in the seaview rooms it has made it very difficult to find an adequate and efficient a/c unit. We are constantly looking into the latest technologies that will enable us to cool the rooms...

This is a guest house so don't have high expectations. Road to Rum Boat is a rough track. Rural location is peaceful. Room needs attention/re thinking e.g. mirror on opposite wall to electrical sockets. Full of contradictions re: obligations. Asked to borrow beach towels and was asked to buy them from the shop. However beach chairs were available to take...

I had the pleasure of staying at the Rumboat Retreat with a group of friends in February. It's location on the west coast in the fishing town of Gouyavre makes it ideal for those who want to explore the issland and experience real Grenada. It overlooks the ocean and is set in luscious tropical grounds. Lisette, the owner, was accommodating...

Rumboat Retreat is a remote place in a beautiful surrounding; ideal to visit the North of Grenada (e.g Fish Friday in Gouyave or Sunset Food Festival in Victoria). Lyzette is a charming host. We enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime.
