Average place and pool. Very poor choices of food. Pretty nature and water fall. Roads that lead to this center are usually in fair conditions, but somewhat dangerous. Water fall is very small most of the year as it is feed by a water creek rather than a true river... but during raining season it gets more water. Nature is pretty in the area and people very friendly. No good food available.

It was introduced a good base for wildlife adventure in Cuba,so we chose it for one night stay. But the terrible service let us down.We booked birding guide and taxi(back to Havana) at the evening, the guide didn't show up until 0930AM (what we arranged was 0800AM),and he was very perfunctory with us, we only saw 12 spieces of birds during the 1 and half hour tour, even less than what we got in the early morning by oursleves...The taxi was late too, the recieption of day shift had no idea about our booking at all, so we waited for another 40 minutes with empty stomach. The apperance of bungalows were not bad, but rooms inside were really ugly, even in Cuba standard, worse than the accommodation we experienced in Havana. We had buffet dinner and breakfast, just so so, the band performed on dinner was also the worst band in Cuba( seemed every restaurant in Cuba got a band). The ponit I should praise was the surrounding. And indeed it was a good place to meet Cuban cuckoo, very easily in the jungle outside the hotel. There was several casa nearby, instead of this hotel, strongly suggest to try them .

We stayed here for one night during our recent trip to Cuba, having stayed on previous trips. We love it here, the little poolside bungalows are in the process of being refurbished and we had one poolside with a new bathroom / rain shower which was great. The complex is basic but spotlessly clean and the grounds are beautifully kept, it is a very peaceful place to send a day or 2 with a beautiful nearby orchid garden and also a lovely waterfall to visit. Only complain was that the pool was not as clean as it had been on previous visits and if the hotel can rectify this quickly it will avoid further complaints, there was never a problem with the pool on our previous visits. Thanks for another peaceful stopover during our trip.

Had the misfortune to stay the night here. We arrived late after we couldn't find a Casa with a vacant room. The room was a chalet, with 3 double beds in it. Very dated. The staff never smiled and weren't very friendly. Unusual for Cuba. We asked about a restaurant and we were directed down the road to a buffet. his was expensive and cold and there was very little food left. We didn't realise this until we had paid. The breakfast wasn't any better. We thought we may go for a swim in the pool in the morning, until we saw it in daylight. There was green algae on the bottom. The worst place we stayed in Cuba.
