Basic and clean place to stay. Maria was more than helpful with bikes, horses and whatever...Food, breakfast and dinner, were exellent. Being only guests we had full privacy on first floor. After busy and noisy Havana Vinales is the place to be to clear the mind. Rent a bike and drive...such a bliss. Ludwig and Victoria, feb 2013

Maria and her family are absolutely lovely and her breakfasts were the best we had in Cuba - pineapple so sweet it reminded me of childhood pineapple chunk sweeties. Fresh fruit juice, eggs, cheese, bread - it just kept coming. We had dinner there one night and there were more piles of solid Cuban fare - nothing too exciting but... More

Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and spotless bathroom, delicious breakfasts and dinners - all in a simple Cuban style. We felt very much at home and secure here - our two teenagers took one bedroom, we took the other and shared a central bathroom with them. Nice to have the balcony to sit on in and watch the world go... More

The Casa is in a perfect location, there is an entire floor reserved for guests with two separate dining areas, which provides a maximum of privacy, should you feel like it. We happened to be in Vinales during the carnival, which meant it was rather noisy at night. Apart from that it was a perfect stay.

Whilst the greeting and the food could not be better we found this Casa to be very basic. If we hadn't been travelling with friends the shared bathroom would have been more of an issue. As it was we had no hot water on the first morning.

You could not be more welcome at this Casa, even with limited English (and our limited Spanish)! Wonderful home cooked meal by Maria in the evening and the best breakfast we had in Cuba. Clean and comfortable - the rocking chairs on the terrace made us feel like locals. Great location - easy walk into town. Highly recommend.

I continue to stay at this beautiful home every time I visit Viñales. Throughout the years of staying here I've gotten very close to the owners Maria and Mario. The new second floor has three rooms available with air conditioning, two rooms share a bathroom and the third has an on-suite. You also have a full kitchen, dining and living... More

As a family of 6 we had all 3 rooms in this casa and therefore the whole floor to ourselves. The casa is unusual in that it is 2 storeys and guests have their own balcony complete with rocking chairs to sit and watch Vinales life go by. Maria, who only speaks a small amount of English, is a perfect... More

I highly recommend Villa La Cubana to anyone travelling to Vinales. You won't find a nicer hostess than Maria! She catered to our every need. The house is fantastic with its long second-floor balcony overlooking daily life on a rural Cuban street. I wish I was still rocking in one of the chairs there now! Maria is a fantastic cook.... Villa La Cubana is run by the most lovable couple Maria and Mario. The rooms are somewhat humble but always clean and tidy and you have access to all you need. It’s the kind of place where tourists show up with Maria’s name on a piece of paper, given to them by a previous traveler who experienced the warm corazon... More
