This has got to be one of the best casa's in Vinales with big double rooms separate to the main house, a small pool, bar and dining area. The hosts are so welcoming and the location is very central, just a short walk from the centre of Vinales. Ana Luisa recommended and booked us onto a local guided walking tour for the day after we arrived, it was so good and really helped us to understand the area and get to know what it was like to live in Vinales. Breakfast was amazing, a variety of fruit, pancakes, breads and eggs however you like them. The mango juice is so delicious. Ana Luisa even made us a packed lunch for our day trip on the beach as it's tricky to get hold of food to go in Cuba. We booked in for dinner with them one night as the food was always so delicious, it was one of the best meals in Cuba, 3 courses of locally sourced, homemade food. The pool was very welcoming after a day exploring and you can also arrange bike rental and taxi's through the casa if required to help you explore a bit further out of town however we rented biked from the main town. We couldn't recommend them more!…
Set back from the main drag is this very pleasant Casa run by Ana Luisa - a real character. Our room was a good size, with AC, fridge, safe and a good sized bathroom. The room had a little patio where we could watch Viñales life go by and enjoy the chickens, goat (Lola), and small pigs who grazed next door. At the back of the Casa is the dining area set in a pleasant patio with a small swimming pool. Breakfast is very enjoyable and Ana and her small team did an admirable job of providing it on our final morning during an electrical outage which affected the whole town. We also had a good meal here one evening. After Havana, we found Viñales to be an oasis of calm, and it turned out to be a favourite from our whole trip.
My sister and I spent 2 nights at Casa Jorge y Ana Luisa and we had an amazing time. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed our time in the garden with the swimming pool and bar. Ana Luisa is a fabulous host, she prepared us amazing food for a very reasonable price. We had an amazing time in Vinales and highly recommend it to anyone.
The rooms were basic, but had everything we needed and were spotlessly clean. There was always hot water for the shower and the location was very good - a few minutes walk from the centre of Vinales. The highlight, though, was definitely our hostess who was amazing - incredibly helpful in arranging trips for us and a special meal on our second evening. I can't think there could be anywhere better to stay...
We stayed 5 days with our 2 children and we all loved it! Great place, good situated, very good food in the morning and the evening and a lovely lady of the house! With all our heart, commandante de Belgica X
The Casa was a great place to stay for our horseback ride through the rural landscape, boat ride through the caves, visit of the painted mural. It’s just a walking distance from the starting point of the visit to the rural landscape. Ana Luisa and Jorge were very hospitable, welcoming and made us feel special. They arranged the daily tours and transportation for our trips. The breakfast and dinner for the 2 days were amazing! Highly recommend this Casa and would definitely stay on our return. A big thank you to Ana Luisa for a wonderful experience in Vinales.
The rooms were very nice with great bed linen and towels which were very soft. Breakfast was a standard Cuban breakfast: juice, fruit, pancakes and eggs. The bar area was nice except for the disappointing selection of drinks, due to no water and no beer. We had some very average cocktails on the first day and didn't bother again. Perhaps if there had been some better drinks we would have stayed for dinner. Overall accommodation was great but spoilt by lack of water and beer.
Vinales is a vibrant little town with everything a tourist needs to enjoy the stunning nearby scenery. Casa Jorge and Anna Luisa is very well placed on the edge of town to help you enjoy this scenery. We enjoyed walking around the area and had a good trip from a recommendation by our hosts. We stayed 2 nights but on reflection another night here would have helped us see more. Thank you to Anna Luisa and her daughter, you were delightful hosts
Our rooms were spotless and our air-conditioning was highly effective. There was a small pool and bar area - a perfect spot to relax after a day of walking, riding or climbing (or whatever else people get up to in Vinales). Anna Luisa was charming and generous. And our breakfasts were fresh and delicious -- the best we ate in Cuba. Vinales is a lovely little town surrounded by stunning countryside. Highly recommended.
Lovely stay here, despite the power cuts and supply difficulties… do take drinking water with you if you can. Internet available at a small cost. There’s a small pool and a bar and snacks like sandwiches are possible. I think there are 7 rooms. Ana Luisa and her family are really welcoming. Ample breakfast, comfortable beds, en-suite shower, a/c and fridge. Easy walk to the main street, which has a variety of places to eat. This is a great base to explore the countryside around Viñales and Ana Luisa can arrange various trips such as a horse and cart to see a coffee farm and a tobacco farm - both were excellent but we didn’t get details so can’t review them here (but we did buy cigars and coffee from the farmers). As we had an early start on our last day, Ana Luisa made us a packed breakfast. If you are going to Viñales and booking your own accommodation do choose this one.…
