On our visit to Tarbert this beautiful little b&b stood out from the rest, surrounded by a beautifully kept garden with lots of character. We were first greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from the owner Andrew and immediately noticed the delightful marble floor through the hallway along with the doorman Bimbo the clown displaying the house rules- a... This is one of my favourite and most beautiful places that I've ever stayed in! The unique and quirky decor compliments the warm and very hospitable atmosphere that relaxes you and makes you feel like you belong there. With a hint of Enid Blyton's Famous Five at every corner and viewpoint, this is truly a place of memories in the... More

The accommodation and breakfast were both excellent, and well worth their five stars. Apart from this, though, the house and garden are full of amazing artefacts, items, puppets, and ornaments - a really eclectic collection. In addition there was the interesting breakfast time conversation with proprietor Andrew and two other visitors. All in all a most enjoyable stay.

This is Andrews home, and his stamp is all over this place. Accommodation was tight on this tuesday night on our tourof this area. We had to do quite a bit of door knocking to find B and B, .but if I stayed in Tarbert again it would be my first choice. Breakfast was served in a small dining room... More

Thank you Andrew to had the opportunity to stay at 'The Moorings'. It's a lovely place and a pleasure to meet you and the 3 cute dogs. The view on to the loch is pictorally. We enjoined also the seafood at starfish. We'd like to come again! Monika+Jürg

Right on the pier road, this B&B is full of character, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Andrew the host is warm and friendly and good fun and we were pleased to be able to play his piano in the living room and to meet his gorgeous friendly dogs. The breakfast was great, fresh berries followed by a full Scottish, vegetarian option... More

Stayed here for a few nights, and I must say it truly is an amazing place to stay ... Andrew is so friendly and welcoming! The breakfast, especially the black pudding was superb. The B&B was so nice, very nicely decorated with little interesting items everywhere. If I find my way to this part of the world again, I would... More

Andrew put us up at very short notice when we found ourselves double booked at our original B&B on the second night of our cycle tour. Comfortable property, full of character, nice fresh fruit and cooked breakfast, warm and accommodating host.

The host Andrew is very welcoming, sincere and friendly. The B&B is recently renovated. Every where is scrupoulously clean. The bedroom may be a bit smallish but with a large and very comfortable bed and everything else you might need. Ensuite bathroom spotless with a night light. Breakfast starts with fruits followed by a hearty scottish breakfast.

This was the second B+B we tried in Tarbert, nobody answered the door at the first one. But are we pleased about that? - you bet we are! Andrew was the perfect host from the moment we met him. Showed us the available rooms, explained the pros and cons of each, delighted us with his stories about the beautiful ornaments... More
