Had a lovely meal at lunchtime. Good value for money, dog friendly, good choice and great service. We ate in the cosy bar but there is a larger dining room out back. We have stayed here previously and found it to be a quirky value for money hotel with character.

We stayed in a room on the second floor overlooking the harbour, wonderfulviewsbut not recommended if you have any mobility issues! Very clean and tidy. The hotel is undergoing some renovation, so is not looking it's best from the outside but such a warm welcome awaits. Breakfast is amazing !!!!!

Stayed here for one night. Room was clean and tidy. Stairs leading to room are narrow, and I hit my forehead off a low ceiling. Windows in the room were dirty inside and out detracting from the view. No holders for towels or toilet roll meant the bathroom felt unfinished despite looking recently renovated. Overall feeling was the room was... More

Drink in hotel bar... very nice ambiance but was very quiet Very friendly staff and food smelt delightful Outside needs a lot of attention but looks like they've concentrated on doing the inside up Beautifully placed for views of harbour

Stayed with a friend on 11/6/16. We were initially allocated a twin with considerable evidence of previous water damage. The damage was badly overpainted with staining and mould coming through. We were offered an improved room next door when we brought it to the hotels attention. We went out for a meal and returned around 12.30 to find ourselves locked... More

I stayed here for 3 nights, the rooms are basic but comfy, the room I had was at the back so did have some noise from the bar but all in all was a good stay. Had a large bathroom with a bath and shower plus all the usual mod cons. The bar in the hotel is reasonably priced and... More

I like this place. The bar is small and cosy, and with a quiet atmosphere. Pleasant staff. The menu was fairly extensive and the fish and chips excellent. Good portion and the chips were freshly prepared. I have the impression that most of the food offered would be very good except for the beef burgers, listed as 'Special' Nothing very... More

Had a lovely lunch at the hotel today. The lunch of fish chips and peas was excellent. Large portions and beautifully cooked and presented. This was our second visit to the hotel bar. The friendly staff make your visit very memorable. It is a lovely cosy bar and is dog friendly which we are delighted about as our little dog... More
