This was our 'posh' stop-off on our journey around Scotland. We had a special offer of B and B with dinner. Ours was a gorgeous four-poster room. The décor was lovely, combining old and new really well. The view over the loch was gorgeous and the gardens in which to walk were beautiful. The dinner was as good as anything... More

We had a return visit for our 2nd wedding anniversary and it was wonderful, as usual. (Don't know how I managed to forget to write a review of our fabulous wedding weekend here - but it was amazing from start to end!). We stayed in the honeymoon suite (28), which is a great size and has beautiful views over Loch... More

A 1 night quick stop en-route to another location, but wish we'd stayed longer. A lovely hotel I am sure you will not be disappointed with. Very old fashioned - in a good way - with traditional features and and old-skool feel. The smell of log fires a warming feel. The beds were VERY comfortable, the gardens and location amazing, the... We have visited as a couple on many occasions and can highly recommend it for a quiet, peaceful, romantic weekend! The rooms are comfortable and some newly renovated. The restaurant has lovely sea views, and excellent food and service, and the adjoining bar is very romantic for pre or after dinner drinks.

This is a charming hotel with character the views from the terrace and dining room are stunning. The food is amazing everyone in our party enjoyed the food over the two nights that we stayed. The rooms and decor add to the character of the place providing an air of Scottish charm. This hotel also has wifi in the main... More

If you want rock solid scones, tasteless brownies and two finger sandwiches per person, all for £8.50 each then go here for afternoon tea! Staff were rude too. As a positive though the toilets are really worth a visit, they were well decorated, warm and clean. Overall, really poor, will not be back.

... and great Scottish Whisky bar of course. Some of the tower rooms were very spacious, maybe 50-60m2 for the main room, additional TV room and 20m2 bathroom with a view to the loch. What else you could expect!

This was our third stay at Stonefield Castle and it has improved every time. The grounds are tremendous and well worth a walk around - or even one every evening. The rooms are comfortable and well kept though the hot water system has always been a bit quirky. The staff are lovely - very friendly and very helpful. But the real... More

Myself and my husband recently celebrated our wedding at Stonefield Castle over a weekend at the end of July. From initially booking our wedding with Anne and her team, the process was faultless. The staff are so unbelievably helpful and accommodating, with a smile permanently on their faces. We had the entire castle to ourselves as all of our guests... More

Attended a friend’s wedding here at the end of July and just had the best time ever. Room 34 was lovely, huge bed and ample storage space and lovely welcome tray etc . Few minor points, no loo roll holder, a ripped bed sheet and a the bathroom door handle fell off (funny at the time though). The food at... More
