Arrived for a 2 night stay with my partner for his birthday. The hotel is beautiful looking with stunning views. The bedroom was nice but but felt quite basic for the money. The wardrobe didn’t feel stable and proper cups had been replaced with paper cups. The food was lovely and staff very friendly. It would have been nice to sit outside but the wooden chairs were left out all night getting wet so we were unable to sit outside enjoying the view. The hotel allows dogs which is fine but we had 2 in a room just down from us on our first night that started barking as soon as you entered the corridor till you got into your room or got to the stairs which wasn’t the best to hear as you could hear everything going on in the corridors outside your room. When we asked about the lunch menu they were unsure if we could have anything to eat, then took over 30 minutes to let us know and take our order. Although they say room service was available on their site it was not available at this time. I would love to come back under different circumstances when the Covid restrictions are more relaxed to be able to enjoy the hotels drawing and bar rooms more.…
We had a brilliant stay and will sure to be back next year. Very relaxed atmosphere and I wish we had booked for longer. All of the staff were really nice and friendly. Lovely walks round the grounds which me and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed.
What a lovely setting this hotel is in.We had a brilliant time.Nice walk down to the jetty.I highly recommend staying at this hotel as plenty lovely quiet places to visit. The staff were very friendly and very professional doing there job. Once we get over Covid 19 we will certainly be back to visit in better circumstances. The staff are a credit to Bespoke hotels
The minute you see the building, after a drive along the twisting private road, you know its going to be good! But it was amazing!! All staff were exceptional in their handling of Covid regulations. We were shown to our room, but staff not allowed in during our two night stay. The room had been sprayed for cleanliness. We had to ask reception if we ran out of, say, milk, or anything else. The dining room had timed slots for breakfast as well as dinner, and we felt very safe with the spacing. The room was lovely, overlooking the extensive grounds and the view of the loch from the dining room was a huge spectacle! The evening meals were superb, some unusual combinations and very well presented. There are plenty of walks through the woods within the grounds and a lovely sitting room and library if you just want to chill! This visit was a well needed break and I commend the staff for their hard work.…
Visited previously several years ago , on this occasion on a 5pm com deal with £50 towards dinner . We were fortunate to get an upgrade to a superb room with a lovely view over the water . Staff were all pleasant and efficient . COVID protocols appeared to be good . Dinner was very good and we had fresh langoustines which were lovely ( needless to say that took us over the £50 allowance for the two of us but well worth it ). Reasonably priced choice of wine . Very good breakfast including eggs benedict in the choices . The castle is a lovely building with a nice bar and lounges . There is a nice walk from the hotel to a nearby island via a causeway . Overall a great short break .
