Dined here many times as the carvery here is one of the best Ive ever eaten - all fresh vegetables and the meat is sourced locally and is cooked to the highest standard. The chef is more than happy to give you a taste of each meat Turkey Pork Gammon and Beef before making your choice - a very generous... More

Booked a room for one, staying on a Saturday night. On check in, no sign of my booking, had to write and re-write my name on a piece of paper, despite providing my email booking confirmation number. Was handed a remote control for the tv, which seemed odd, and I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to rattle... I was given... More

Really interesting historical hotel and stayed in a very romantic room. Yes lots of uneven floors and could do with a good clean but very atmospheric. Particularly during the early hours of the morning when people run amok screaming, shouting, banging on doors and even trying to gain entry to other guests' rooms. I have contacted the hotel about my... More

Myself and my partner stayed here on 29th and oh my god the building was stunning. The stairs do creek but it's a 400 year old building the floors do slope again it's and old building, but I think all it's creeks and slopes gives the building its character. There was old pieces of furniture all over the hotel but... More

Lovely hotel never seen such a huge family room, but the room was just plain cold. Had to get two extra heaters to warm up the room. Even with extra blankets the room was cold and the bathroom was freezing ! Eat off site as the dinner menu didn't look appealing. Breakfast the next was interesting. Before we could sit... More

What a stunning old building. When we arrived one member of staff was really helpful allow us to book in early. The room was clean. Yes creaky and sloped but, we did expect this. Sadly the hotel really does need a complete refurbishment. It is dusty and cluttered. With furniture in every space. The breakfast was small and taken away... More

We booked the Talbot for our friends wedding in Stourbridge as it was the nearest to the venue First impressions were olde worlde but once inside it was apparent that this hotel has been neglected over the years. We should have Wales out at check in when we were handed the remote for the TV!! Why they can't leave them... More

Stayed one night and enjoyed it. As it's a very old building (with character) expect the odd sloping floor which seem to level out after a few beers. The hotel is very handy for the shops and bars. The breakfast was very good and arrived well presented, piping hot within 10 minutes of ordering. Well worth the price.

Stayed for business for 3 nights. I was late arriving, due to incident on motorway, so they passed my room key to a colleague who arrived 40 mins before me. So there was no welcoming and i had to find my own way to the bedrooms. It was cold and smelt of damp. Room was basic. Bathroom floor needed a... More

Arrived after a long day driving, noticed parking notice so I gave my registration at check in. After choosing another room after the first one was appalling, it smelt damp, it was tiny and it was tatty, I went out some 3 hours later for food. The greeting at breakfast was 'Do you want a cooked breakfast' not good morning... More
