Set in tranquil grounds. Friendly staff who welcomed children. Would definitely stay again as it's a good base for sightseeing in Lincoln and Newark. Plenty of car parking space and satisfying breakfast.

We have just held our Christmas party here last Saturday and I would like to thank Vanessa and all the staff including the resident DJ Ashley for making it such a wonderful event. All the staff were welcoming and friendly and the 3 course meal was excellent. We shared the evening with two other groups who were very friendly and...

We stayed at this hotel as it was close to family. The check was quick and the room was clean with a tea tray and biscuits. Lots of towels and a nice hot shower. The bed was a bit too hard for us. Breakfast was excellent but a little crowded at peak times. Good value for money.

Stayed here overnight on the 19th November as we were doing back to back dog shows at the Newark showground. Found Vanessa and her staff really lovely and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Room (15) was really nice, cosy and clean, very atmospheric with original beamed ceilings (Vanessa told me later that this part of the building...

Had just one night here, but could have stayed longer. Surrounded by countryside and good walking country. Rooms surround a large gravel courtyard with fountain in the middle. Room was good size and en-suite spacious.Very clean. Apparently this is where the Disney family originated. There is no restaurant for the evening, but a very good pub down the road The...

We stayed here briefly as we were exhibiting at Newark Exhibition Center. Was easy check in and the room was very clean and a lovely shower. My husband thought room was a bit small but we were only staying for one night and even if we were staying longer it is only a room to sleep in. Breakfast was plentiful...

In route to visit Lincoln decided to stay out of the tourist way. Upon arrival was greeted by the owner. He took his time to explain all parts and areas of the estate. Wifi is ok and enable to work. Breakfast is nice - typical British. BUT does NOT change all the 5 days we been there..... Owner know the...

I've stayed here before so knew to ignore the sat-nav and approach form the Swinderby roundabout on the A46, which means you don't spend as long on a single carriageway road with passing points to get there - the hotel is signposted making it easy to find. On arriving through the gate it's obvious that the hotel isn't a single...

When full the hotel is not equipped to cater for maximum number of guests - the breakfast area is not big enough to cater for large numbers. In my opinion the owner was rather brusque and not as accommodating as she could have been. She reminded me of Basil Fawlty! The rooms were a little tired and had cobwebs on...
