We had lunch here whilst visiting the area and it was both plentiful and delicious. The staff were friendly and courteous and there was a big open fire and plenty of talking points in the quaint old building. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a short get away and were surprised at how friendly you all were - not only did Reece and Rhianna (standing in for Mum and Dad who were away on holiday) make us feel welcome but the regulars in the bar each evening did there best to include us! We shall be back to taste the 'home...

Stopped here for one night on our way back from a few days break in South Wales Lovely end to our break Could not fault the place from the very friendly reception we received on arrival, the room we were given, the excellent meal on the evening and the whole atmosphere of the inn. Would definitely stay here again

We were staying close by and just spotted the pub from the road. We had a lovely lunch (scampi, pie, sarnies etc) and the children played happily in the pub garden for ages. Friendly landlord. Very reasonably priced too.

We went to the Rhydspence last Sunday for a traditional lunch with some friends and what an excellent experience it was all round. There were four of us so we each chose a different roast meat - pork, beef and lamb and my husband had Sea Bass. The meat was perfectly cooked as were the vegetables and yorkshires, crackling etc...

Had a very pleasant one night stay. Very cosy atmosphere. The rooms were well appointed and clean and comfortable. The owners made us very welcome and would like to return in the future. The food was very good and well presented. Position of the inn was very peaceful and ideal for travelling locally.

Fantastic. Friendly staff, warm, comfortable rooms and beautifully prepared food to your liking! Great steaks, recommend the Tournedos Rossini:mouth-wateringly good. Great home cooked breakfasts and wide selection of local ales: try the local cider! Brilliant, Mark, Lowri, family and staff doing all they can to offer a great experience. Just loved the 14 century experience with early morning views across...

Having read some of the other reviews on poor meals and poor service I have to say my experience was completely the opposite. When we arrived for our two night stay we were greeted in a friendly manner and told that the restaurant was full that night, but if we wanted a meal they would make a private section of...

Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast on both days was excellent but the service on the first day was more attentive. On the second day had to ask for more toast, more coffee or tea were not offered. Yoghurts were not avaialble on the second day. Bedroom furnishings were very tired. Wallpaper peeling off the walls and badly faded,...
