Myself, partner and daughter stopped at the Angel's Tabernacle on the last leg of our road trip, staying in quirky and unusual places, around England. We loved it! I am not a camping/outdoors type of person but the accommodation was immaculate and the beds, with feather bedding, were two of the most comfortable we slept in on our trip. Daphne... More

We spent the weekend at "Mother Earth" with our little Jack russel for a well deserved break. The whole place that daphne has created just leaves you speechless. You arrive and are instantly taken into another world. Very tranquil and above all relaxing. The accommodation is well thought out and has everything that one needs. The icing on the cake... More

This place is amazing...glamping it is not. There is no glamour, no bling. Just simple, peaceful tranquility in cosy accommodation set in a beautiful setting. Daphne is simply wonderful and charming. She goes above and beyond to be helpful if you need her, but is equally happy to leave you in peace to relax in your own way. I wouldn't... More

Peaceful. Unique. Romantic. Restful. I've been 3 years in a row and will keep coming. Thanks. As ever it is such a magical place. Waking up to the birds singing and the quiet of the countryside is a blessing xxxxx

Half term break with family while visiting Hay Festival 5 miles away. A wonderful serine environment. Where the appreciation of the accommodation was very thoughtful and carefully done to create separate, distinct rooms, while secluded opened out to gorgeous countryside. Comfortable and practical with apparent environmental consideration throughout. Daphne was a delightful host. ,

I give this score for a number of reasons: 1) There are no proper curtains in the bedrooms 2) It is necessary to bend over double in the bedrooms as the headroom is about 3 ft beside the double bed, a little higher in the twin bedroom, but it was necessary to duck to get into it and our guests... We had an amazing time staying in The Rising Sun, New Inn Brilley. The views from the cabin were amazing and we enjoyed the escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Daphne was a breath of fresh air and an amazing host. I would recommend this place if you are looking to get away and go back to... More

I stayed in 'Angels' with my mum. I arranged it as a birthday treat and our stay was really magical. The surroundings are really calming - listening to the birds and meeting the inquisitive chickens! It has everything we needed whilst still feeling like a haven from every day life. Daphnie was great she was very friendly, there if we... More

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this curiously eclectic cabin. It's so secluded at the end of Daphne's land with just the mountainous view looking back at you. A real break from the rat race. We enjoyed lovely long quiet evenings cooking up feasts on the BBQ and chilling on the deck with the happy chickens. The out... More

We spent two wonderful nights in Daphne's self contained suite which is attached to the main cottage. As always we were made to feel so welcome and in fact the cottage has become like a second home to us
