love the faded charm of this hotel, like stepping into the past. we didn't stay, just had a lovely lunch, sitting outside, overlooking the Solent. The food was hot, well presented and very tasty and the staff were polite and helpful. Will definitely visit again.
Out for a walk with the pooch down to Stokes Bay as it was open day at the Gafirs - decided to pop into the Alverbank for a drink in the garden overlooking The Solent before walking back through Stanley Park.

Was here for a wedding, which itself was lovely. But this is despite a venue that's falling apart and rude/unhelpful staff who don't seem to have a clue how to host a wedding.

The wedding reception was beautiful however, the staff had no idea what they were doing. They were rude (especially Spencer), disorganised and didn’t appear to care about what was going on.
