We received a warm, friendly welcome and a tray of tea. Brian took the trouble to show us how everything worked in our room and showed us round the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable though the bathroom a little tired. Breakfast was well cooked with generous portions and the service excellent. The hotel has a beautiful garden with... More

The reviews we saw for this place convinced us to book here , however our double room was small with a soft mattress, cracked wash basin and no hair dryer. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the hosts helpful. I doubt though how the place can justify being called a hotel and charge what it does.

Room 4 looked out onto the front of the Hotel, a good sized twin room with standard size beds, We were cheerfully greeted and all facilities explained. A comfortable hotel, in a quiet location. Very clean and well decorated , breakfast was a good standard, and the breakfst room was very pleasant.

We stayed for two nights for a wedding party. First impression which is the look from the road side: it won't win a prize for architecture. First impression from inside which is meeting owner Brian: very helpful, very friendly and very personable. Both remained the same throughout our stay. Bonuses: Nice, though not very large rooms, with a good bathroom... More

Attended a Croquet coaching course at Budleigh Salterton and stayed at this hotel which is just 10 minutes walk from the club. We stayed for two nights in a Kingsize deluxe at the back of the hotel which had spectacular, uninterupted views over the Otter Valley and sea. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to perfection! This has got to... More

We returned to the Long Range for another visit as we had been so pleased with everything during our first stay. Brian and Lorraine are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The bedroom was clean and fresh and the breakfasts really delicious. We can highly recommend Long Range. Sue and David Cox.

Location wise this B and B is good. Just over half a mile to the seafront and bus stops within easy walking distance with buses taking you to Sidmouth or Exmouth. There is some parking at the front of the hotel, but insufficient if guesthouse is full I would have thought. Customer service is excellent. Brian is welcoming, approachable, helpful... More

Booked for me buy the office. Lovley clean room comfy bed and good view out over garden but cannot see sea only about 500 metres away. Good breakfast. Homemade bread. OK if you like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Doris Day accompanying breakfast. Shower was walk in for 2 in my room. No Wow factor but did everything well.
