My impression of Syon House Hotel is that it is a very large family home, with the usual ups and downs associated with family life. It functions more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. We were disappointed with the first room offered to us because there was not a pleasant view. However, when I mentioned this, we were... More

This is a lovely place. Super bedding and comfortable beds. Great (indulgent) breakfast. But the friendliness of Claire and Jola really made it easy to feel at home. The views from Syon House are terrific, and you can sit on the terrace and watch buzzards and woodpeckers fly across. I would not hesitate to stay there again. The wifi was... More

I have stayed at Syon House on several occasions and it never fails to lift my spirits. From the beautiful surroundings to the very friendly team who welcome and spoil their guests I just love escaping to this delightful country house. Breakfast is delicious and generous and when the weather allows I have my coffee on the veranda facing the... More

We had a great weekend at this lovely house which has a very relaxed, shabby chic feel to it. They've made a good investment in comfy beds and lovely linen which was very much appreciated. Breakfast is delicious and lots of it to suit all tastes - I went off menu and they happily accommodated me. The lounge is nice... More

This B and B is a large country house a little way out of Budleigh, but set amongst beautiful countryside, with a long drive separating it from the road. Our room ( room 6) had stunning views and was very quiet. It was also a large and light room with a massively comfortable bed. My only gripe, because I have... More

A very interesting property which is being sympathetically improved. The breakfast was fantastic and so interesting meeting other people around the lovely large kitchen table. The only improvement I would have wished for would be in the greeting when we arrived. We had obviously disturbed the young man who finally opened the door, he quickly showed us to our room... More
