This hotel has an unrivalled location right on the water - lovely to watch the comings and goings and would definately say pay extra for a water view. We had a room on the third floor - note that the water view rooms are at the front so don't get the sun in the mornings but it was lovely nonetheless. The room was very spacious, immaculately clean and the bathroom was good with plenty of hot water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was ok if not exceptional but there was plenty of choice and you can eat outside on the terrace as well as indoors. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a little car park at the rear which is useful in this small place where parking is at a premium. Note that you are right on the front and next to the very popular Tims bar - it can probably get very noisy in high season (although they provide ear plugs in the room!) We have friends who have an apartment here and they had heard some bad reports about the rooms here - we believe that they are doing the rooms up so we think some rooms are better than others, but we believe that ours had been renovated as it was bright and modern. A lovely place to stay and we would return here if we visit Port D' Andratx again…
Stunning location right on the water. Food was delicious too and service matched with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. I had the burrata with truffled pesto and fellow diners enjoyed the tempura prawns amongst other meals.
Good points- you wont find a hotel with a better location in Andraxt. This hotel is a piece of history, right on the front with amazing views and access to bars. Breakfast wasnt great however you forgive them when looking out at boats coming in and out of the port. I must also flag that the hotel was very clean, sheets, towels and rooms were spotless and cleaned regulary. Shower was also good pressure (it is a shower curtain though). Bad points- The hotel is dated, very dated. Furtiture and rooms are in destarate need of an upgrade. The bedrooms have very random furniture so there wasnt really anywhere to do your hair, but the rooms were really big and had lots of space. If management put a chair and table in each (near a plug point) it would hugely improve the rooms. As I said though, the room was really clean which I think lets them off the hook for this one. Breakfast isnt great, there was a good selection but the food sits out for a long time, however you are so close to near by bars and restaurants that you can get something cheap and lovely nearby. Overall, I probably wouldnt stay here again as it was slightly lacking facicities, however if the hotel was to make a bit of investment into the room/ hotel furnishings and upgrade the breakfast then I do think this hotel could be onto a winner. If I had the money I would buy it myself!!…
We didn’t know where to eat when we visited Port D’Andratx So we decided to go for the prettiest place which was the restaurant with a terrace built out over the water. I was worried when the best G&T that they could offer was Bombay Sapphire and Schweppes, but resigned myself to a bad meal in a beautiful place. Surprisingly the waiter kindly managed to find some FeverTree so things improved. We were wrong about the food. I had risked ordering a steak and it was absolutely gorgeous. Thick, rare, tender and tasty. Adrian had a burger which was probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Again thick and rare, obviously home-made with gorgeous cheese and incredibly tasty. This place is old-fashioned and not particularly posh, but a delightful experience.
This is the best meal I’ve ever had . I got the cebon beef fillet wirh with truffle mash and mushroom sauce also got the gourmet burger they was both amazing never had a meal like it. It was that good we are going back tommorow . And also the front of hosue was 👍👍 . Defo recommend
