This 'pension' is located in the heart of the walled old town, the owners are incredibly helpful for any questions or queries you have, nothing was too much trouble. Room was basic but comfortable and very good value for money. Lovely location (a bit on the hilly / up and down side of things so be prepared for that on... More

Txoko Goxoa is a clean, modest pension in a very charming old walled town. Bed comfortable. Room and ensuite small but clean. Town has excellent views of river and coast, restaurants on town square, easy walk to river front where food options are more than adequate. For those doing Camino it is in a very good position near start of... More

The right place to stay when on a budget. Great hospialibility, and perfect placed if you want a closer look at one of the most historic interesting and beautiful towns in the Basque country, maybe even Spain. Not a lot of space, but I didn't mind. It was everything I needed.

Went online in a bar to check out accommodation for that night and were lucky to find a room in this Pension for only 45€. Very helpful member of staff who provided us with a parking space. The location in the old walled part of the town was perfect. Will come again.

Make no mistake, this is a pension -- not a hotel. But the price is right, the rooms are clean, the internet works, and you could not imagine a more authentic Basque experience than staying in the walled section of Hondarribia. Evidently, everybody wanted to conquer this town (hence the walled city). Txoko Goxoa is located behind the wall. The... More

We spent 10m days enjoying the hospitality of this little family pensiune in the seaside town of Hondarribia close to the border between France and Spain. Quiet, clean and very affordable, close to all local attractions and an easy bus ride to the coastal train to San Sebastian and the Anoeta stadium. Missed having breakfast but enjoyed going to a... As I was spending one night in Hondarribia I didn't need anything fancy and Txoko Goxoa perfectly fit the bill. Basic but clean, ideal for a short term stay. Patxi was wonderful and couldn't be more helpful. He gave me a map, advised me of places to visit and marked them for me. Wonderful!

Thanks to Ion and all the staff at Txoko Goxoa for making our stay so special. We were treated amazingly well during our stay in Hondarribia. The Location of the Hotel is fantastic in the heart of the old medieval town. The room was tidy and the bed was very comfortable. But it was the staff that made of so... More

Before booking here be very careful of the information you are fed prior to arrival. It is in a narrow street in the historical heart of Hondarribia, and to be fair, it is a typical basque house in the usual style of basque architecture. However, it is not a hotel, it is a 1 star pension, very difficult to access... More

Perfect for a night as a comfy bed and lovely service. 15 euro from train station and a walk from where taxi dropped us off...confusing at night to get to but very manageable in the day. You definitely feel that village "vibe" here...beautiful.
