#1 of 4 B&Bs / Inns in Laerdal Municipality
Sanden pensjonat has been an inn and pension since 1897 and is situated in the centre of Lardalsoyri by the Sognefjord. The building from the 1840s is newly renovated, with a lot of original features intact. The rooms are furnished with antiques and modern art from the owners collection. The family run pension is on the historic main street of the preservation area of Lardalsoyri. The area has 161 wooden houses from the 19th century and a lot of small, well kept gardens. The pension, which is open all year, now has three guest rooms with private bathrooms and four that share one in the hallway. On the ground floor we have a breakfast room and reception. The pension is strictly non-smoking. If you bring your own computer you can log on to our free wireless internet.

Became a little doubtful when arriving to find nobody was there. The gate was open though, and after a few minutes the landlord showed up too. The room was everything between kitch and retro, and we loved it :) Breakfast was great with a storytelling host always present.

We stayed three days in this nice guest house, in the old part of Laerdal. Good quality price ratio. It is located in an old little house. The breakfast is copious. The owner is very kind and have been of great help. Laerdal is a cute town from where nice walks can be made.
