My wife and I stayed at the Badia a Colibuono for two nights recently on our trip through Northern Italy. It was truly a unique and wonderful experience. The former abbey is set in the hills of Tuscany overlooking the Arno River valley. Each room is very spacious and peaceful (they were the former monks' quarters). The staff was exceptionally... A completely different type of ristorante for my friends from Austin Texas. My wife and I with Michele and Jim had a splendid meal with regional cuisine that will be long remembered. The waiter was extremely attentive and offered suggestions for superb wines. Truly a Tuscan experience in the hills of Chianti. This is the real thing !!

My husband and I stopped for a few nights here on our honeymoon, and we loved every second of our experience. Our hostess, Francesca, could not have been more friendly and informative, and she made us feel right at home! Everyone we met there was very kind and welcoming! The wine is excellent, the grounds/gardens are amazing, and the food... More

We spent a great time there. The atmosphere was unique and incomparable. You can live in an ancient monastery with authentic rooms. Very romantic views and great restaurant where can you book a cooking lesson. Beautiful the garden and and the swimming pool. Great location for visiting the Chianti area and Tuscan region.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of September in the Granary apartment. We loved it!! We were 2 couples traveling together, and it was a joy to come back to our "home" each afternoon after visiting nearby villages. The staff were all so friendly, and we ate dinner at their restaurant several nights - what a special... More

And have already looked at it for next year. We came for lunch twice we loved the restaurant so much....and then did the tour of the B&B. Why did we not know about this before we booked San Sano? Which we also loved......but would recommend lunch here as a minimum and the accommodation and pool look fabulous.

This place is unbelievable. If you love history this is your chance to live in a past era with some modern amenities, not air conditioning. Beautifully manicured gardens. Nice secluded pool. Centrally located. Nice Breakfast. Lovely wines. GREAT restaurant, we ate at the restaurant both nights we stayed here. I would most highly recommend Badia a Coltibuono.

We are offered Apartment Chiostrohe for 4 of us, including two kids. We were stunned when we saw the apartment at first. The apartment has 4 bed rooms, 2 bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a large dinning room and a spacious living room with a piano and a fireplace. But they are all clean and comfortable. Music from the piano in... More

Badia is rustic, quiet and next to one of the best restaurants in Tuscany. Try the wine tour. Badia is also a winery. Incredible and highly recommended.
