My wife and I visited Borgo Argenina just after the grape harvest. I don't see how we could have asked for a better B&B location, friendly and helpful service, or the weather... When we weren't sight-seeing the property and accommodations made us feel as if we were "at home". Our

We stayed two nights and fell in love with the inn and the surrounding area. It was just so beautiful. We were fortunate to do Elena's cooking class with 8 other quests. It was the highlight of our trip. Elena is a great cook and really taught us a lot about italian cuisine.

I loved cooking with all of you and hope you relive the wonderful moments around the kitchen table by cooking these dishes at home - you’re experts now! Thank you again for your kind words, do come back soon. Next time join me for the grape harvest, imagine the excitement of eating fresh grapes off the vines and making delicious, Chianti wine! We would love to come in May, however, will be traveling there from Rome and we will not have a car. Is it easy to get around where you are located or easy to get a taxi? Also, how far from Siena are you?? Thank you!
I do not know if what I wrote got to you, so I am writing it again. You can take a train from Rome to either Florence or Siena. Borgo Argenina is nearer to Siena. You can catch the train at the airport or in the city. Contact TGV rail and buy your ticket in advance. I do not know about taxis, Elena can answer that. However I think you would rob yourself of the real beauty and joy of this area if you do not spend hours driving through the scenery that you find in movies and photographs of this area in Tuscany. Also you would want a car to discover the many charming places to have lunch or diner. They range from simple to elegant. May is a beautiful time to be here. Do not miss Florence. there you will not need or want a car.

Does the Piccola villa have its own private terrace with view of the vineyard? What size is the bed? Thanks!
You would have to walk a very few feet to the beautiful stone wall to view the vineyard. That is a spot that is so beautiful, I could sit there and read all 7 volumes of Proust and feel as if I were completely full. The view from the Piccola Villa is not of the vineyard, but certainly beautiful. I have returned many times to Borgo Argentina and never tire of the hospitality or the views. If you go you will not be unhappy. As for bed size, Elena and her staff can/will take care of all your needs. By the way breakfast is a delight. As for the other meals, there is every choice nearby from sophisticated to simple.

I'm wondering and hoping the pool will be open in October, 2019? Global warming may extend the season? The two ground floor rooms that share a terrace: are they connected from the inside? Could someone book one of those rooms and then the room with the twin beds on the ground floor? Are there any rooms that connect? Thank you so much for your help. Lea Ann Strand

Where can you dine in the evening. If it's the local village, how far is it and can we walk there and back or is there a cab service.
There is both simple food in many locations, and also in Radda, which is a drive you must take during the day. That view is exactly why you want to be in this area. There is a first class restaurant not too far away Il Celliere a Castagnoli. You would have to ask Elena about cab service, but I can not imagine not having/renting a car, because driving all over - frankly, for hours. The sites as you drive is the primary reason to be in this area. Here you will delight in every scene from every movie about or photograph of Tuscany
