There was a dreamlike quality to our stay at Torre di Ponzano. Perched on a hill, all you can see for miles are beautiful olive groves and the Tuscan countryside. Andrew and Alba were excellent hosts. They were especially helpful with local recommendations. Torre is situated no more than a half hour relaxing drive to Florence, San Gimignano, and Siena.... The highlight of our first trip to Italy (3 weeks) was our one-week stay at Torre di Ponzano. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality from the owners, Alba and Andrew, that we felt we were with old friends. This lovey "Country House" is located in an incredibly beautiful area of Tuscany that is... More

Our family had originally tried to book one of the villas at Ponzano with a family friend, but unfortunately, there wasn't a room available that could cater to the full four days that we were staying around Barberino (one opened up the second half of our stay, but would have been a hassle to cancel with other hotel). HOWEVER, that... More

We really enjoyed our stay (late May 2007) at Torre di Ponzano. The historic property is very nicely refurbished as an inn, well maintained and in a convenient and wonderfully scenic location. The self-catering apartment was perfect for our family of four - a relaxing, clean and reasonably well-appointed home base for touring the region. There are a couple of... More

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary touring Italy. Out of all of the fantastic places we stayed in Italy, Torre di Ponzano was the best! Its beautiful location was perfect to day trip to Florence, Siena, and all of the fabulous hill towns in Tuscany. Alba and Andrew are great hosts and two of the nicest people that... More

We had a marvellous stay at "Torre" - Alba and Andrew went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed in the apartment and maps / advice / recommendations etc for places to go and restaurants to eat at. Wonderful views and surroundings meant we left feeling on top of the world and fantastically relaxed -... More

My family (me, my two teenage daughters and my husband) ended a two week stay in Italy here. Alba and Andrew were the most gracious hosts that anyone could ever ask for. They were so friendly and helpful and they both had such a wonderful sense of humor. I would very much recommend this location. The view was fabulous, it... More

Alba and Andrew are the best. We got lost trying to find the property and Andrew went out if his way to resuce us by driving out of his way to meet us and guide us back to the Villa. Alba hooked us with with the best restaurants we experienced during our 3 weeks in Italy. Better food than Rome,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Ponzano for our one year anniversary. The wonderful thing about this place, aside from the views, is that the owners are not on the premisis. It almost feels like you are staying at your own private villa, with the exception of a couple of other guests (who you practically never see). Also, it... More

If I had one place to spend my next vacation I would pick the Tuscany area and Torre di Ponzano would be my base of operation. A view that made me drunk without drinking wine. A panorama view that few will find at another hotel. Alba and Andrew are a very gracious host and proud of this treasure and I... More
