My girlfriend and I stayed 3 nights at Agriturismo Tarantola in July and loved it. This is relaxation at its best. The owner Filippo really takes care of his guest. My girlfriend has a gluten allergy and he went out of his way to make her gluten free pasta every night!! In addition, the chef Saverio is world class. The... More

My wife and I stayed at Agriturismo Tarantola during our honeymoon in early June, and it truly rounded out our Sicilian adventure. Two events in particular helped color our trip as brightly as it shines in our memories. First was the full course traditional Sicilian meal we enjoyed upon arriving there, paired with estate made wines. Second was our wine... More

Basic rooms, without any effort to make them look nice, the window was also the door, so if you didn't want to be seen by other guests, you had to keep the shutters closed, since there was no curtain, so you didn't have any natural light. Very poor insulation, you could hear what was said in the next room. No... More

Dear Guest It’s true that the rooms are basic and we try to make it clear that we are not a hotel but a farm house in the middle of the countryside. Unfortunately just before you arrived there were a series of storms, hail storms – the worst in ten years - in the area and the ground had suffered... More

We wanted to experience the culture of Sicily and we got it. Open your adventuring minds and you will have a blast. From the farm house rooms, to the fantastic dinners and wine pairings, Count Felippo, Danielle, and Salverio will make your stay one to remember. The farm is situated in Alcamo, but within a 2 hour drive or less... More

We visited just for the day and myself and my son (age 12) attended the cookery course. It is a beautiful setting, and the cooking course is fun and informative. We made with Chefs guidance a four course meal that was then enjoyed by ourselves and the rest of the family. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed three days as part of our honeymoon across Italy. It was three days of peace, beautiful scenery, delicious pastas, and top notch wines. We stayed during the off-season so we literally had the place to ourselves to enjoy the beautiful countryside views. Be sure to take the cooking class with the chef! Make your own... More

We spent 18 delicious hours here. Our room in a converted outbuilding was nothing special. Everything worked fine, it was very quiet. But the place itself was set so beautifully, and for those who want to feel the earth, flowers, fruits and light of Sicily on a walk through vineyards at sunset, I can't imagine a better place. And then... More

We stayed at Agriturismo Tarantola as a family group of 4 adults last October as part of an 8 night Sicily trip. Filippo is an excellent host and an interesting man, and we had an absolutely wonderful time on his farm. We were especially blown away by the food; probably the best food we had in Sicily. I would highly... More

I have stayed at Tarantola three times now, and each time had a very different experience from the one described below. I went to Tarantola because I wanted to be in the countryside. It is in the most beautiful location - the hills all around are a rich green in season, even in the hot summer, and golden out of... More

Their website is stunning, but we didn't feel this agriturismo quite lived up to our expectations. Fillip is a wonderful host, and the area is quite beautiful, but be aware, it is very remote, so if you drink wine with your evening meal (I mean, this IS Italy!) you probably will be staying home for that. The rooms are basic... More

My website is amazing? No - it is minimal, like my rooms. Unfortunately, your review, while praising my staff (and I thank you for that), contains a couple of inaccuracies. It is true that when you arrived there was a group of 50 people at the farm. A Hungarian television company had asked me to do a report on Sicilian... More
