I visited Modica in June 2104 with my friend, I chose Casa Talia because I wanted to stay in a particular hotel boutique and I reached my goal. Very lovely and good located place... In front of you a fantastic panorama: the old city with the Cathedral... Amazing view! I appreciated even the room and the garden... A place to... More

We stayed here for two nights and had a very nice and spacious suite. We had a bit of an issue with a power failure and the electronic key card for our room but apart from that we found the staff very helpful. Don't expect the usual sicilian welcome and advice from the hotel owners, we didn't see them during... More

We definitely should've checked TA before booking but, if you're like us you somehow discovered this place and as it sounds charming you want to stay here regardless of other people's experiences. The best advice I can give is unless you are 100% self sufficient, don't stay here. We booked by phone the day before arriving, Marco was not charming... More

This is a B&B situated high above the town of Modica, the opposite side of the valley from the main sights. However the distance across the valley is not great, so from our terrace there was a stupendous view and you could actually see people going round the town and watch the world go by - fascinating! The hotel is... More

Armed with expectations for a great place and ready to explore beautiful Modica, I could not have had a greater shock when the gates of Casa Talia were open to me and I saw the room they had allocated to us. The photos were great, so in March we decided to book it through the internet, for a reservation in... More

We spent 7 nights at a lovely hotel in Toarmina then travelled to Modica for 3 nights to Casa Talia, recommended by our agent. It was quite difficult to find, hard to park and when you arrive you ring the bell where eventually a young man arrives and takes you to your room. It is described by many people and... More

Very charming hotel in the hill up above Modica. Very nice view, rooms and breakfast. Not really recommendable for a family with small children as the parking space is far away and there is no common room to be when it is raining or too cold.

In all my travels, all over the world, for many years i don't think I've ever checked out before i checked in! This was a MOST disappointing experience. Traveling around Sicily for 6 weeks i did a lot of research into our places to stay. My husband and i are both in the hospitality business and i actually review homes... More

Casa Talía is a very charm hotel with different rooms that are like small independent houses in the Old Modica ( a baroque city ). My room has a small terrace with a beautiful grape tree The breakfast is in a terrace overlooking the Cathedral with local delicacies . Everything reminds simplicity with a touch of slow motion. The only... More

On a hill in the old Jewish ghetto directly facing the hillside centres of lower and upper Modica is this hotel that has been fashioned out of many smaller dwellings by a talented architect couple. Terraces full of olive and lime trees, interconnecting balconies, little staircases and rooms that are really houses with streets winding between then make for a... More
