It's been two years since my previous visit. Let's say that something changed a little for the wrong side, meanwhile the place itself is still extraordinary. To explain it clearly, I must mention the following: -- The rooms are weared in the last two years. I don't know if it's a quality question or a lack of maintenance, but in...

The location of this hotel is very good, especially when driving around. It's 1 straight road to the centre of Modica some 15mins away. The rooms are clean and well kept although the superior room we had, felt a little bit crammed. Wifi was not working when we visited and when it did work later during our stay, was frustrating...

Stayed at Pietre Nere Resort 3 nights... We found the resort to be decorated beautifully, the room was big enough, we upgraded to a room with a balcony for the last 2 nights for a extra €10 per night which was a bargain. We found the dinner menu hard to follow and the system was confusing. Food is fine dining...

All the hotel is in white colors, and this gives you peaceful and calm sensations during all your stay. We were there with our less than 3 years old daughter, and I can assure that children are welcome in this hotel. The staff is super friendly. Breakfast is very good (they have really good products). Even if there is no...

We stayed at Pietre Nere Resort for one week in June, the hotel is spotless and had great outdoor space including extensive pool and sunbathing areas. There was absolutely no crush around the pool or at breakfast and on few occasions we found ourselves to be the only people at the pool or in the dining room! Bedrooms are modern...

The two/three floor building is quite modern. Currently construction work is going on as a spa will be added. There is a large courtyard with plenty of space where you can park for free. The Pietre Nere is located on one of the arterial roads going into Modica. It is about 5 km from downtown. Reception at the front desk...

Stayed there with family. Just 10 mins drive from beautiful baroque Modica. Comfortable rooms, beautiful countryside, excellent breakfast. In February hotel was not busy at all but would imagine it to be full come summer. Also wedding receptions & parties going on which I imagine would be noisy. Nevertheless, would definitely visit again.

Preferring a quiet location above staying in nearby Modica, my wife and I stayed here only one night in October. But since this hotel lies in the middle of nowhere indeed, it is better to have your own wheels. But with a car, this hotel is perfectly located for exploring nearby Cava d'Ispica. Maybe, this hotel is frequented in the...

“We stayed on the 2nd floor, probably because this is where the cheapest rooms were. There was lift and stair access and no problem with reaching the floor. Our room faced west which again posed no problems. There was a wedding function one night which did not go very late (not sure what time, perhaps midnight). If you are an unusually early bird and can't tolerate any noise you may wish for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floors. We were not disturbed by the function”
