We arrived very late at night and were so happy to see our beautiful room and comfortable bed. This farmyard property has been so lovingly and tastefully remodeled and every touch is perfect, rustic yet modern and comfy. Francesco taught us so much about the area and its history and provided us with maps, binoculars and great advice. Breakfast was...

We stayed two nights in this villa during the first part of October. We enjoyed the very spacious room and the peaceful surroundings. Sicilian breakfasts which include excellent espresso, cakes and fruits (and omelettes for those who want them) are served by the owner, Francesco, who is fluent in English and has travelled extensively in the U.S. It was interesting...

Our room was comfortable, and the property picturesque and peaceful. Our host, Francisco, was generous with his time, and provided several recommendations for local sights. The breakfasts were generous, and the kitchen was available for guests to use at other times also. A great base for touring Ragusa, Modica, Noto and the coast.

Francesco is a delightful host. He is so helpful. Knows all the right places to go and eat and beach. Breakfast a plenty. Delicious cannoli. Yum. And fresh fresh eggs. The place is stunning. The rooms are lovely. Just a good place. We really enjoyed and cannot wait to go back.

We spent 2 nights here to explore the Modica area and loved this unique property. It was a perfect location - roughly 10 - 20 mins to the beach and to surrounding towns Scicli and Ragusa. Francesco gave us the best ideas and directions - we went to the beach at Sampieri which was gorgeous, and then explored Ragusa Ibla...

For us, this converted farmhouse was paradise for the two nights we stayed. The hosts, Francesco and Francesca, are extraordinary--warm, interested, helpful. We loved the charming restored rooms. The farm breakfast spread (including fresh-laid eggs!) is extraordinary and delicious. The b&b is a short drive from Scicli and Modica (about 10 minutes each), and only a little further to Ragusa,...

I struggled even writing this review because I want to keep Villa Quartarella a secret it's that good. Francesco and Francesca are incredible hosts, they make every guest feel at home. Francesco seems to know exactly what each guest needs and gives individualized suggestions based on each personality. The farm is peaceful and relaxing, the rooms are inviting and soothing,...

We loved our entire Sicily trip, but we brag about our stay at Villa Quartella. And how could you not?!? It’s a farm on the outskirts of Modica – with easy (and quick ) access to Ragusa and Scicli as well. The perfect home base. But, as a farm, it just feels slower. More quaint. Of course, the high quality...

You’ll need a car to take advantage of this quiet and attractive B&B, which arose from an old farm located a few miles outside of Modica. Set amid fields and pastures, a cluster of former farm buildings (hence, “masseria”) has been beautifully rehabilitated into spacious guest and common rooms with modern facilities and amenities. It’s well situated for visiting the...

Fantastic! Run, don't walk to your computer or phone to book a stay at Francesco and Francesca's farm in the country. We felt like we were in a timeless movie, like Cinema Paradiso. You pull into the courtyard of the farmhouse, and the effect is stunning. The farmhouse is beautifully renovated, and a new section on the end has been...
