We were very pleased to find this masseria on our last minute trip to Puglia. The masseria has changed its name as the new owner Domenico took it over this year. The room was well furnished and clean. A master suite with a comfortable bedroom, separate sitting area, shower room and own private terrace. Breakfast was good and the four course evening meal included in our half board rate was really delicious as was the wine. Some of the vegetables come from the kitchen garden and the home-grown tomatoes were the best we had on our trip. There are two choices at each course on the menu. Domenico , the owner, was very friendly and helpful and the waitress at supper was very friendly too. The masseria is very attractive and the grounds with vineyards are beautiful. We enjoyed wandering past the chickens into the cyclamen carpeted woods. The pool area is very peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of interest to see in the area. A really lovely place to stay and we hope to come back.

This is what I came to see: trullis! I may not have had one of the trulli suites but I had a whole “building” to myself – a free-standing gorgeous little stone house next to the vegetable garden and surrounded by foliage. It was really serene. I was able to open the inner front door to get more natural light. Outside, I had two chairs for outdoor seating. The foliage hid the entry way from prying eyes. Total privacy! The rooms are decorated beautifully – a large bed, a couch (which I think may be considered a day bed), small area with comfortable chairs (could use better light for reading) and a well-appointed bathroom. I had a large shower, heated towel rack and vanity. The suite was close to the pool and a short walk to the main reception area where breakfast is served. The only thing I missed was a coffee maker. Breakfast is bountiful – fresh fruits, assortment of pastries and bread, eggs, cereal…..you won’t be hungry. This property is outside of Martina Franca and you either need a car or arrange for transportation. But it isn’t far to town. I wanted to see the trulli and I did. You can walk on the roof to experience the trullis as well. Oh, and, in season, fresh figs are picked right off the tree which we did. Way sweeter than Whole Foods! I don’t know how anyone experienced bad service here. The staff were amazing. One night our little group decided to have a picnic on the terrace and they were so accommodating. The man who delivered me to my room walked me through the herb and vegetable garden and told me to “help myself.” (I didn’t) Wonderful property.

We really enjoyed out stay at this beautiful property set in a really pretty location of rolling vineyards. The rooms are large and well appointed, breakfast had plenty of choice and the pool was sparkling. The masseria is about a 5 - 10 minute drive outside Martina Franca so this may be a factor if you prefer to walk out to a restaurant each night, (there was only one night of our stay when dinner was offered at the masseria), Staff were friendly and even helped us book a tour.

We don't know where to begin. First impression was never to leave again. We were overwhelmed by the hospitality and the surroundings. Rooms, pool area, garden, breakfast (freshly baked cakes every morning),terrace and inside seating ,everything just perfect. Never missed when Luana prepared dinner. We will definitely come back.

We have stayed in Martina Franca many times... and this Masseria was one of our favorites so far. It is in a quiet beautiful part of la campagna -- surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. The approach and grounds are lovely - with a nice pool. Our room had a small outdoor garden in the back and chairs in the front of the room too. They were very accommodating when we asked to stay in one night... after a long drive... they made us a lovely platter of cheeses and salumi with tomatoes. The breakfast was nice - as we were seated outside. The only disappointment was that we were on the ground floor and in order to enjoy the lovely night air in Martina... we would have had to keep the doors open. Instead we ended up resorting to the AC, which did not get the room cool enough. Adding screen doors that could be locked from the inside, would have improved our experience. Overall - loved the design sensibility and the natural beauty of the location.
