Rooms are huge, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great. Wi-Fi isn't great but that's common around here. Close to town center. Roberto is really nice! By day you can travel to nearby towns and take the ferry to see the islands or just relax around town and eat lot of pizza :)

We had a great stay with 3 other couples at the Hotel Michelangelo on Lake Maggiore. The room was large, clean and comfortable, and the price was a good value for the area. The location is convenient to the town of Arona and transportation by bus, train or ferry to other locations on Lake Maggiore. It is an easy walk... More

A group of 8 of us stayed here. It was perfect. Easy walk to the train station, bus to Stressa. Lovely patio where we sat out and drank wine. Much less expensive than the hotels in Stressa. And Roberto was wonderful! Small property and much more interesting than some hotel! And we definitely would stay there again!

The hotel in slightly away from the centre of Arona, being on one of the roads leading to the town - although still only a very short walk away. The area isn't as salubrious as the centre of the town and the railway line is also very close - (this did not cause any issues to us as the double... More

My wife and I stayed at the Michelangelo in Arona for 45 days (Nov – Dec) while relocating to Italy. The rooms are large, clean, with the expected amenities. What makes this hotel special you might ask… the owners! Roberto, Fulvio, and Uta are exceptionally warm and welcoming. They truly enjoy meeting their guests and talking about current events, travel,... More

We arrived quite late at this lovely little hotel-Roberto was slightly incredulous that we had travelled all the way from Rome that day,by train and gave us a lovely welcome. We were a bit disappointed to find the restaurant wasn't open so nipped into town to have a quick drink (8 min walk)-not many places open there either so went backed... We stayed here for one night at the end of a week's holiday on Lake Maggiore. We had a huge room at the front, which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was unusual, in that we were served one thing at a time in no particular order; croissants, omelette, cheese and ham toasted sandwiches, and strawberries - and we didn't know... More

Spent 3 days here at the end of a 3 week Italian trip, didn't want to deal with Milan before departure. EASY to get here and back to Malpensa Airport by bus ($7US). Walking distance to everything, easy stroll to lake. Room large, bright, clean, modern. Not fancy but very adequate for the price. Breakfast delightful, made breakfast panini for... More
