Everything is perfect here. The room is nice and perfectly clean, they are all lovely, kind, helpful. There is a homely feeling that makes your staying better. They have a lovely small garden where you can sit and look at the sea, a beautiful clean pool where to chill down and relax. Breakfast is awesome. Everything perfect. Thanks!

Hotel is nice, clean and very well located in Moneglia. Nice big pool, nice rooms.
Staff at the breakfast service and cleaning was very nice.
At the reception it was incredibly unfriendly and arrogant.
Left a bit of a bitter taste.

We discovered the Mondial as walk-ins while visiting family in the surroundings. Just the perfect location near Cinqueterre. The parking facility was a great asset in this area for our van and its price more than reasonable. The staff were extremely nice, both the tenants and all the employees, the room was clean and with a balcony, not enormous but that's the standard in the area. Our pets were welcome despite their size. The buffet breakfast was international, with both sweet and salty items, and the fresh orange squash made the difference. We did not have the time to try the covererd swimming pool which looks large and new, and comes with a jucuzzi. Its opening hours are short, we would have loved late evening or early morning access.
No hesitation to recommend this hotel to anyone, business or leisure traveller.

When booking on the hotel's site, the website was at one point a few minutes 5-6 later, no longer accessible. Called hotel with question. Hotel said I
could book online. So logged in again and the price for our room was €20 more expensive in one go! I sent a printout of the price v few minutes earlier but answer was : Price can change every day. My experience; Hotel quickly adjusts prices if they see/notice someone is searching on a certain date! Very bad experience in line with other bad reviews.

Rooms on the sea side have a nice view and on the other side of hotel you have the railway very noise. Hotel need a deep restyling, looks old and not kept well. Particulary bad internet connection and air con. Staff not very friendly

Nice residence/hotel just a few steps to beaches, shops and train station.
Very clean and relaxing , with a lovely indoor/outdoor pool and seaview solarium/garden.
Points 4 on 5 only because sauna and jacuzzi are very small (comparing to number of customers)and they don't have a baggage room (you can leave your bags under the stairs at the entrance, at your own risk).

Stayed at the Hotel Mondial for 4 nights. We chose it for its convenient location in less crowded Moneglia and as a base for visiting the Cinque Terre villages.
The Hotel is clean and tidy and the prices reasonable for the area in July. We had a sea view room with a recently renovated bathroom. Doors from the room opened out to a nice undercover area and on to the lawn and deck area.
The room was air-conditioned but the unit had SOS on the display for the duration of our stay; only the fan worked and the air conditioing wasn't able to be fixed while we were there. Temperatures were in the 30's so the room was rather warmer than we would have preferred but no big problem.
The staff were helpful with generalinformation on the area and with the train timetables etc.
They will also make reservations for you at the restaurants in town if requested.
Breakfast was very nice; coffee was made to order and a plentiful supply of cereals yoghurt meat cheeses bread cake fruit etc etc at a buffet.

Wifi access is free; however for most of our stay connection to the internet was hopelessly slow and often unusable. Many guests with too many devices trying to access the interweb at once seemed to be the problem.

The Hotel Mondial is a short but rather steep walk to either the Railway Station or the town centre of Moneglia. The pathways are a mix of cobbles and concrete so be careful walking.

We traveled by car; parking in Moneglia overall is very limited but the hotel offers parking fora very reasonable 5 Euro per day

Access by car to the Hotel Mondial is a bit tricky; neither our in car navigation, or our Garmin Navigation was correct. Google Maps also incorrectly displays Via Venino 16 and gave incorrect directions. The navigation systems assumes some walkways/pathways are available for cars, and they are most definitely not.
The only way to access the Hotel by car (driving from Deiva Marina) is by turning sharp left after the first one way tunnel after leaving Moneglia township.
Or coming from Sestri Levanti, turn right immediately before the last one way tunnel approaching Moneglia. The Signs to the hotel can only be seen when approaching from the Sestri Levante direction.
The Hotels own web site could do with some improvement with driving directions as it only gives directions to Moneglia, and not how to get to the hotel once you have reached Moneglia.

Hotel Mondial is a truly beautiful place in a wonderful location, gulf view, quiet in a no trafic area, at just 5 minutes walk from Moneglia's rail station.
The hotel facilities are great, with garden, swimming pool, jacuzzi, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchenette in each room.
Our room was sea view and each morning, only singing birds and splashing sea were the beautiful environment for our romantic wake-up.
Lovely vacation, great location, highly recommandable!!!

Family of 3 booked a standard room and were severely disappointed on checking in, feeling that the website and Trip Advisor reviews were very misleading. Lobby area was unimpressive, our room [56], even less so. Small, spare an, at best, utilitarian. Except for the fact that the AC, much needed, didn’t work properly and the refrigerator, not at all. The exercise equipment, important to us, was in terrible condition, essentially unusable. Further, we were told that earliest use would be 9 am—very much inconsistent with our needs.
But! Management was responsive and moved us to a vastly nicer room [122]which undoubtedly costs a great deal more. Large, modern, with a kitchenette. Well appointed. Everything worked. Management permitted use of the very limited exercise equipment but huge indoor swimming pool earlier than is its custom. Management was responsive at every turn. WiFi was free but slow. Included breakfast was quite good. Parking cost 5 euros daily. The hotel is about a 5-8 minute walk to the train station, if trains are your method for accessing Cinque Terre. Be prepared for navigating significant hills, short but relatively steep, to and fro the train station and the town. There are several restaurants available in town, about a 15 minute walk. Be well apprised of how to reach them on foot as streets are angular and you need to be equipped with a sense of how to get to where you want to go. We enjoyed dinner twice at Monile. Absolutely great pesto. Restaurant is next to the beach and ocean with some limited outdoor seating.

Management clearly tried its best to make things right. It succeeded. If ratings allowed a 3.5, that’s what I would accord the hotel.

It’s my second time to Moneglia and I absolutely love this place!!! The quaintness and Beauty of this town is unparalleled!!! However, The hotel is located up on a very steep hill. Our view from our room was non existent (although it was advertised as a sea view) and the trek up the hill with luggage is TOUGH!!!! There is no hotel taxi service. We were willing to pay for the local but the taxi had left for another commitment. ( the town is small, but this lends to its uniqueness) The room needs some updating, the verandas by our room are nice but not private and the pool is wonderful but towels are hard to come by. The breakfast is exquisite and the breakfast staff is awesome! The staff at the front desk .....a little on the cool side.
