To hop off off busy trains and stroll the short distance in peace in a beautiful village is a pleasure. To then arrive at very special accomodation puts you into the right mindset. Personalised introduction to the hotel and region follows. The hotel going the extra yard extends to the room presentation. The breakfast deserves special mention as well. An... More

I stayed for 4 nights and would certainly return both to Moneglia and Abbadia San Giorgio. Moneglia was lively and pretty but not overrun with tourists in peak season like neighbouring Cinque Terre towns. A beautiful location close to Cinque Terre by train and boat and on a beautiful coast line easily explored by train and boat. The Abby was... More

We stayed for 4 nights and loved every minute. It was so peaceful and quiet. The staff are all absolutely wonderful and despite our very limited Italian and their limited English they went out of their way to ensure our requirements were met. Fabulous breakfast each morning set us up for the day. We found it great to be away... More

We have spent 2 nights at Abbadia with our two kids. The place is simply great as it used to be part of a church and now fully refurbished. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. But what is amazing is the breakfast with several fresh cakes prepared every morning. They also serve gluten free meal.

We're fortunate enough to get a suite here. This is just a wonderful place to stay if you want something special. Rooms were large and beautifully appointed. We had a four poster bed that just added to this experience. Very quiet but very easy walk to beach and restaurants etc. which are many and great.. Everything is catered for and... More

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. It has a very nice atmosphere and it was a calm, peacefull and romantic stay. The breakfast was excellent with homemade bread and pastry. In addition they served organic food and fresh orange juice. You could also order omelettes, scrambled eggs etc and different kinds of coffee. The hotel had their own... More

If there is any place to return to time and time again, this is it!!!! It is quiet but well located right in the charming center very close to the beach. You can just leave your car and enjoy a relaxing stay with everything at hand. To visit cinqueterre the train station is just 800 meters away from the hotel.... More

This charming small hotel combines all the tranquillity of the original monastery with charming Italian staff who appear exactly when you want them but are never overbearing. The rooms are tastefully furnished and bathrooms supplied with lovely products and great linen (additional towels for the beach thoughtfully offered). It felt like a real family welcome but when you wanted quiet... More

My wife and I recently stayed here and we absolutely loved it! This building used to be a 15th century monastery and is incredibly quiet and beautiful. The location is in the town of Moneglia, which is perfect for easily getting the train to Cinque Terre, without sacrificing authenticity for a heavily tourist area. The building is simply gorgeous and... More
