    Family Friendly
We stayed 2 nights and had Room 101 which I belive must be the best in the whole hotel. We had a big balcony for ourself. Location is good Close to Town and Trainstation. Trains come and go all the time so some rooms must have problems with noise from trains. BF was regular Italian.

    A little slice of heaven
My wife and her family have been coming to this hotel, on and off, for years now and I can see why. The town itself is very popular with Italians as it is not too far from Genoa, the beach is very family friendly as it is very gradual and there is a breakwater to calm the waves. The hotel itself sits in beautiful grounds which provide the kitchen with plenty of fresh produce and there is a lovely, shaded outside breakfast area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are totally accommodating and the chef is a star. We WILL be going again - repeatedly! The only minor drawback is also an advantage as it is close to the train station, so you do hear trains passing, but is is also very easy to walk to the hotel.

This is review is based for the apartment we received since we did not stay in the main hotel, given the fact there was nothing else available. The apartment was very close to main center/town/close to restaurant and boat port. we had 2 bedroom apartment which was a spacious but a bit old, renovation should be done. It was very hot so there was no AC available, but just a little fan. There was a fridge which can help because everything is expensive in Cinque Terre. I missed to take pics of the room. :(

We spent a wonderful holiday with our family and mother-in-law in September at Villa Argentina, the rooms were very nice, clean. The service of the hosts, the family Garibotto, extremely charming and welcoming, and the food one of the best we ever had. Paolo, the cook, is very creative and talented and presents new excellent dishes every day.

I guess this hotel is like any other hotel in the area, small, simple and with a good view. But sometimes the difference is the people that run it. After messing up our reservation and giving up a very bad attitude for something that was their mistake they cramped us on a tiny not very clean apartment outside the hotel property. We've travel a lot across Europe and all over Italy and this hotel is not up to the level you would expect for the price. Very disappointed.

We have spent two nights with our two kids. The location is very near by the main street of Moneglia (carruggio). The hotel is new and clean. Breakfast is good and served in the nice garden near the entrance. Beaches are 5 min walking distance.

What a sweet and charming place. Family run business. Kind and genuinely sincere. The rooms are immaculate and bed comfortable, even for my very tall husband. We had a patio and could wash and dry our clothes easily. Breakfast included home made spreads and fresh fruit. We also ate dinner twice and both meals were wonderful. Lots of healthy food options too (ex- grilled vegetables as appetizer), grilled fish, salad, sorbet. Outdoor eating area. Full meal for 25 euros for guests. If you do not like the menu choice, they will attempt to accommodate with an alternative. They even made me a cake (surprise!) for my birthday. Very enjoyable visit. Beach is just down the street. Also hotel is a quick walk from the local train and can easily get to Santa Margherita. A town where locals go to have their holidays. Would go back there. Be warned- if taking trains, will have to switch so pack luggage lightly.Just be VERY CAREFUL on all trains in Italy. There are people watching. We saw a woman have wallet stolen.

very nice hotel, good privat parking area (very important in Moneglia as there is nearly no possibillity for free parking) very close to the beach (5 min walk), very nice garden where you can sit, relax and also have your breakfast (which was very good, buffet) very friendly staff, nice clean room. Since we didn't make a reservation in advance we were lucky to book the last available room, it was to noisy to sleep with open window because the machines of the airconditiong were right below our room, so we had to sleep with closed window, using the airconditioning as well (would not have been necessary because it cooled down enough during te night and we like to sleep with fresh air coming in) but this was the only downside. I would certainly recommend this hotel when staying in beautiful Moneglia. Also very good for visiting the Cinque Terre area as the railwaystation is close by.
