Advertised as spacious accommodation for a family of 4, which is true if you traveled from Guliver’s Kingdom. Disappointed is not the word, Costa Alta doesn’t deserve a rating of terrible as it’s truly shocking. To go with your tiny bedroom you have 2 single beds that look like they are in a corridor, where at end you have you dated Fisher Price kitchenette. After all this if you were hoping to sleep in the bathroom, who do you pick? It’s only a very tight squeeze for one person and you would have to put up with the foul smell and mould. Security is also a top priority with a window that wasn’t lockable. After testing it and complaining I’m told I’m incorrect and the window was not broken. I guess it depends on your interpretation of locked! We stayed for 7hrs, why so long? Because it was the middle of the night and sorting out somewhere else in peak season takes a bit of time. The villagio did offer to move us to another slightly bigger terrible room.....you know where I’m going with this. Don’t waste you time and money, plenty other places to stay around Sorrento!

Currently staying here. Fantastic base for doing the various Sorrento/Amalfi/Pompeii trips. Lovely big pool but opening hours of 10-1 then 4-7 so not ideal unless you’re out all day every day. Same with restaurant, restricted hours. Staff are lovely, really helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant was good too. The houses are great, basic but good for the price, cleaned every day and done well. Fridge and stove and decent shower with hot water. No hairdryer. However we’re leaving early for one reason. There are big groups of teenagers here same time as us, I think German school tours, and there is music and partying going on both sides of our cabin until 11-12pm every night. We’re not just boring farts, we have a toddler with us who we haven’t been able to get to sleep till midnight and then us even later coz we’re so stressed out. Not what you expect from an Italy holiday. Music still blaring outside my window as I type this, feel like I would’ve got more sleep in Benalmadena or Ibiza, it’s awful, worst experience of anywhere we’ve stayed in Italy so far. I think if they had emailed us in advance to warn us or explained on their website that they cater to large party groups we could have made an educated choice.

Great holiday! Just left this resort travelling with 3 children aged 10 13 & 14 was worried about all the negative reviews but what a find! Brilliant location 10 minute walk to beach lift 50 cents per ride ( can walk it in 10 mins if you able bodied) may have to wait at busy times for lift but not longer than 10 mins! Beach at piano is perfect for swimming and snorkelling beach clubs good value £6 - £10 per lounger at Rosita & Frattellis. Restaurant Gusto and pizzeria 2 minute walk from resort also nice and reasonable price. Nice ice cream at view point in Piano and lovely sunset. Easy to get to Capri from marina £30 (book at reception) each and Pompeii 45 mins by car. Accommodation very basic and close together outside area not private but good for meeting people think caravan or tent 2 ring hob and fridge. Beds comfy walls very thick so no noise from neighbours but bring ear plugs as entertainment goes on till 12.30 and the Italians don’t go to bed till around 2am must be all the coffee ! Breakfast included is all you need to set you up for the day, good coffee and croissants cake etc... We found staff very friendly Great value for money would definitely go again!

We have not long been back from our holiday here. Had a great time and would go back. Accommodation basic but adequate (a bit of a shock at first) owners friendly and helpful. Pool great and you get used to wearing swimming hats although bandanas are also accepted. Breakfast is simple but fine and all other meals are really good. Not far from train station and good distance to Capri and Pompeii. The kids club was amazing and both my children cried when we left (12 and 7) Mario and Christina go above and beyond for the children.
