Nice hotel in small town close to Adare near Limerick. Spacious room with a good bed. Reception and waiters are very friendly. Food is of good quality and the breakfast is excellent. In the weekends there is often live music in the bar. I will visit the hotel again someday next year.

Good food quiet homely atmosphere, good menu, excellent service very respectful gentleman waiter/barman. This is a lovely bar/restaurant with slightly elevated eating area just a bit away from the bar area. No noise in the background so easy to talk and hear. It was a cold night and it became a bit chilly, otherwise really nice place for a chat,...

A friend became ill and we needed a place to stay for a few days and couldn't have chosen better. The attentiveness and compassion shown by all staff was well beyond expectation. The rooms are very comfortable and the food was excellent. Had a wonderful time listening to live entertainment in the bar.

We visited the Rathkeale house hotel for lunch for four people. Despite arriving after 2pm the food was fresh and not dried up. There was plenty of choice on the menu to suit all tastes even a fussy teenager. The price was very reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpfull. It is well worth a vist.We ourselves will definitely be returning.

We booked the hotel quite late in the evening, and they still had vacancies. It took a while to check in, the staff seemed to be busy with the bar and bistro which had surprisingly many customers for a wednesday night in a small village. The room was ok. Shower head and water pressure could be improved. Beds ok. A...

We couldn't get close to our intended destination, so we settled for the hotel above. We stayed only one night, but could not be much more pleased with what we found. The room was well appointed, clean, with starch white sheets and linen. Everything worked well and the room was snug. The bar was well filled and busy, but we...

As per the title, I was not there long enough. One of the friendliest hotels I have stayed anywhere in the world! This small populated town of Rathkeale would have to be one of the nicest townships going. The owners Damien and Brenda are great and their staff headed by Lisa are just the utmost professionals that know how to...
