- Plastic armchairs - sticky and dirty
- Very soft mattress.
- Old furniture.
- The bathroom wasn't dirty, but they could invest a little. (The joints were black. While you were showering, the foam came back over the drain)
- Air conditioning was available for an additional charge.
- The garbage was emptied every day, every 3rd day you get new towels and clean bed linen.
- The pool bar - well... raki and beer from plastic cups... (everything is drunk from plastic cups) You can forget about cocktails or anything like that. There's nothing.
The wine tastes like table wine.
- Internet access was available throughout the hotel, except in the room. :(
- The hotel is very central, so everything is very close. (Shopping, pharmacy, bars, restaurants....)
- You certainly won't be able to sleep until midnight, it's very loud and the other guests feel alone in the hotel, they shout and some slam the door as if there was no buckle... boom boom all night....
Thank God my daughter was always so tired that she didn't hear anything.
Unfortunately there is no private beach (Aeolos Beach: about 6-7 minutes on foot.)
- The food was very good, something new every day, healthy and fresh. They kept refilling and despite the small dining room there was always enough space.
One day, at breakfast, the butter unfortunately broke, stank - they must have left it outside.
The staff was great, nice, friendly and helpful.
We booked all-inclusive but half board would have been enough. We didn't have lunch and we had drinks somewhere else... from nice glasses :)
The price-performance ratio was okay, but next year we will dig deeper into our wallets and go back to Crete but look for a better hotel for our expectations.
The staff are fantastic (especially Yanna on reception) & cannot do enough for you. Anything you need to know, ask & they will accommodate as much as they can! It’s in a great location, walking distance to the beach, the main strip, old Malia & nightlife.
The first week the meals were fab - we were all inclusive - we did notice that as the hotel got more occupied, the food quality slid slightly. Pool bar is open for beer, wine & soft drink all day. Also being in the midst of the Covid pandemic, the hotel has great policies in place for masks in dining room & gloves when self serving food.
All in all, a brilliant time had - we’ll definitely be back to stay at the Triton!!
I had my doubts to book this hotel due to the bad reviews I red before.
We decided to go and have our own experience.
We are glad to did so because we had great holidays. Food was really tasteful every day something different cleaning was like 5star hotel stuff really amazing felt like home. Guys don't let the bad reviews to effect you really the hotel offers to much comparing what we paid.we are coming back perhaps in September.
A huge tanks to Ria the manager to Gianna and Katerina that made our stay so comfortable and amazing.
"None of the rooms have nice views - no sea views or pool views. Our view was looking out to the main road, extension roof and bins on the right hand side overflowing."Read full review
