Room - low standard, but survivable, check the air condition, mine nit worked - we changed the room, food OK, but not much choice, many vegetables, alkohol - only wine and beer, others - extra pay, Pool - ok, not much sun loungers, Dutch tourists took your occupied sun loungers when you left the pool for a while.
We arrived at the Triton very early hours of a Sunday morning due to a mix up with our holiday company. The hotel hadn’t even officially opened for the season. Even at that time of the morning, we were welcomed & sorted with a room within minutes. Room was immaculate. Great mountain view & balcony. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. We stayed for 2 weeks. The room was cleaned most days, fresh bedding & towels every couple of days. There is air con with a daily charge, also a safety deposit box. The staff are fantastic (especially Yanna on reception) & cannot do enough for you. Anything you need to know, ask & they will accommodate as much as they can! It’s in a great location, walking distance to the beach, the main strip, old Malia & nightlife. The first week the meals were fab - we were all inclusive - we did notice that as the hotel got more occupied, the food quality slid slightly. Pool bar is open for beer, wine & soft drink all day. Also being in the midst of the Covid pandemic, the hotel has great policies in place for masks in dining room & gloves when self serving food. All in all, a brilliant time had - we’ll definitely be back to stay at the Triton!!…
We stayed for a week in this nice simple hotel and it's left us with very good memories. The location is good- a very clean beachnearby, not far from the city center, a lot of bars and restaurants nearby, a supermarked for water or snacs just a few steps away, everything is in easy walking distance. The only thing (for us) that was a small inconvenience - rooms have only single beds, no doubles.
Quite simply and easily the worst place I have had the misfortune to stay in ( and I’ve travelled all over Asia and Central America) It was that atrocious that we checked out the morning after arrival. Where do I start? Rooms had absolutely no security and could be accessed by a 3 year old.Filthy beyond belief - I took back the sheet and was nearly sick to think I’d slept there, stains on top of stains - Quite vile. Food- ha ha pathetic. The best thing about this hovel was looking at in the mirror of the taxi to a proper hotel. Please do not even consider this place. The only reason I’ve given it 1 star is because I can’t give it zero or indeed minus .
on arriving to our rooms late at night we didnt really see the true horror that we had checked into. Once morning came round we could see the true state of the hotel. Mesh stapled to the window frames with no glass!!! Making access to our roo.s very easy. Checked out stayed at different hotel.
