Booked superior suite with private pool, spectacular
We really enjoyed this holiday
Personal Recommendation to choose a solution with private pool, spent 1600€ in 2 adults with 2 children in all inclusive
Excellent quality restaurant, not a starred but a lot of variety of first courses, main courses, side dishes, fruit and desserts ..
Structure with water park, fun for children for a few hours a day
Hotel 5 minutes from the streets of downtown Malia, especially suitable for young people..
Would stay again tomorrow

Having to pay for aircon €7 per day and safety deposit box €3 per day. However if you book with booking.com they allegedly include aircon in the price?!?
A choice of ouzo, raki and some other fire water and the smallest glass of beer are the only “all inclusive” alcoholic drinks. Coffee only available at breakfast and between 1500 and 1700 hrs ) BUT you can HIRE a kettle!!!
Water via the self serve machine available in small plastic or glass receptacles. Not available in bottles. You can have what you want if you are willing to part with more cash.
The food is very very average, breakfast the same each day and for fussier eaters like myself was very limited and geared more towards our European counterparts.
Lots of German guests who were quite intimidating, staring at and through you, despite trying to thaw this by smiling at them, it did not alter their mannerisms. Another English couple arriving 5 days after us experienced the same frosty intimidating behaviours.
We were given a “superior room” which was not that superior. It was very compact and balconies not shared but not really private and can touch next door if you so wished.
The place was exceptionally clean and all the cleaning staff very pleasant. They worked incredibly hard. As did the table clearance staff. The dining tables were always cleared quickly and cleaned down and relaid quickly.
Don’t be hoodwinked into the massage facilities.. we were and although very good was over priced. Just be aware they prey on the new comers around the pool.
A holiday that should have been all inclusive we ended up spending around €1,000 on top. If we had children and on a tight budget it would have been totally ruined.
The food in restaurants and alcoholic drinks can be purchased quite cheaply out there. Had we have known this we would have gone self catering or B & B.
Bargain booze 1 litre of local hun or vodka €10.
Last day on check out the staff didn’t even say thanks for staying, safe trip … nothing.
We will be complaining to our tour operator.

The hotel is relatively large and spacious. There are three different pool areas. One of them (Meropi Aqua) has several slides, including a smaller slide for smaller children.
This meant that the pools were never overcrowded (the hotel was fully booked at the time), but it was very pleasant. There are also enough loungers and umbrellas. There was always something free where you could lie down. I found that very positive.
The food was good and varied for an all inclusive hotel. Unfortunately there were only a few high chairs; that is definitely a negative point, as there is otherwise a lot on offer for children and families and eating out is not relaxing if you have the child on your lap, for example. Another drawback is the plastic cups that are used in the drinks dispensers. There are definitely better and more environmentally friendly options for the future.
The service staff were always nice and attentive. The manager at the restaurant could show a little more empathy towards the guests.
As already mentioned, there is a lot on offer for children. There is a small house (Kids Club) with lots of different toys and a big playground at the back. Our child loved that! (Baby swing, swings, slide, seesaw, small carousel,...). In the evenings there was always a small program such as a mini disco or movie night. This is definitely a hotel where you are in good hands with children.
Unfortunately, the WiFi was very bad very often. In this day and age, this can also be improved.
The location on Crete is also great. 30 min taxi ride from Heraklion Airport, 4 min walk to the beach (where you can rent 2 loungers + umbrella for 7€/day), directly opposite the hotel there are several supermarkets and a modern, delicious bakery/café.
Overall, a holiday I would recommend!

The positive thing is that my request was accepted, room all above and with a shower. Bon matelas.
Close to the center.
Staff smiling.
Everything is exactly like what the previous one mentions, it looks like we eat in a canteen, it is not clean, there are fat spots on the back of the chairs, everything is not all in, if you want another alcohol than theirs, you have to pay.
Let the sheets be changed only every 3 days to the rigor but also towels! Including one torn.
On arrival we receive two vials of shower gel and 2 mini soaps, and this for the whole stay.
The bed is quickly made and the garbage cans emptied.
The room is not cleaned, I find hair on the floor of the previous person when we arrived.
Outdated, dirty balcony.
Poor soundproofing.
Corridor and disgusting stairs, no one can be seen passing by with a cart.
This is why the bed and the garbage cans are only emptied.
I wanted to ask the reception for a broom but we didn't dare.
And honestly everything is expensive in Crete.
The apartments are spacious but in need of a thorough renovation. Our apartment was unfortunately above the hotel laundry which gave noise from 7 in the morning until night. The requested topper, extra pillow and kettle were arranged in a few hours. Unfortunately, this was also the only positive experience with the housekeeping. There was poor or no cleaning and after 4 days must get clean bath towels.
The food in the restaurant was of moderate quality and mostly lukewarm to cold. The toaster was broken, several reports of this but nothing was done with it. Fortunately, good restaurants are nearby where you can eat well.
The wait staff was very friendly and helpful.
Be aware that non-guests are NOT allowed to sleep over or visit any guest in the room at any given time. This is due to the policy that isnt clearly written anywhere on the website or elsewhere.
