Just got back from a 5 night stay here, honestly I just want to go back already! All the family who run it are so lovely and can’t do enough for you (thank you for the blankets when we had a few colder nights!) to helping us getting around informing us about the buses and looking at taxis. The pure joy and laughter you gave to your guests was amazing and just made our stay that more personal and special. The room was huge, clean and well kept, perfect for what we needed - thank you Nicolas for sorting out the TV as hadn’t been set up yet! Was just the perfect hotel for our little break away and we would love to come back!

My wife & I visited last week of September. The weather was amazing and we loved the old town area of Malia which is where this place is. The Kristalli apartments were alot better than I expected. We were really impressed. Great quality rooms, lovely gardens where the sunloungers are and a great pool bar. The owners and staff were great fun too. Malia beach isn't the best, you might want to go to another which is around 30mins walk. Old Town restaurants are amazing, really chilled vibe. We'll be coming back 100%

Where do I start?! We went as a family and stayed here for 14 nights. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and knew it was going to be an amazing fortnight stay here. The staff are really friendly and will accommodate anything you need. George the owner walks round regularly and chats to everyone staying there which is really nice and makes you feel very welcome. We knew when we started chatting with people staying there that it wasn't their first time, that it must have been a good place. The lady behind the bar was the loveliest person ever (sorry, I don't know how to pronounce your name - we were calling you something different, which we laughed about on the last day). Always there with a smile and was there to have a chat when you went to order your food / drinks. Shout out to Niko also who has the best sense of humour and makes everyone laugh!! The food is incredible here, definitely recommend eating here for your lunch or even your evening meal if you wanted a more chilled night by the pool. The burgers are delicious!! Plenty of sun beds to relax by the pool - ignore the review below about the music. The music is on, and it's a wide range of different types. We personally enjoyed the music - I'm 26, but my parents loved the different music types. Who doesn't like a bit of music whilst sunbathing by the pool in 30 degrees heat!! We certainly loved it :) We ate out a lot locally in the old town. Our favourite place was Nostimo - AMAZING mousaka. Highly reccomend. Also, reccomend the Giannis Cafe Bar nearby to Nostimo for a drink. Great place to people watch. I could go on for hours on how amazing this place is, but I will shorten my review in a few words : Amazing Friendly Perfect location away from the strip if you want the old town (also 10-15 to the strip if you want a lively night) Clean Modern Overall, a great stay here - we definitely will be back!!! Enjoy your break to all the staff at Kristalli Hotel. See you next year.

This hotel is just beautiful it’s run by a lovely family who cannot do enough for you, they are so welcoming and so friendly, Me and my boyfriend stayed for 8 nights and can honestly say it was the best holiday we have been on and we are coming back next year, the hotel is so close to the old town which has beautiful restaurants and it’s stunning to look at, and the strip is also close too which has so many bars and restaurants for any age. A week was not long enough!! We had bed & breakfast which served hot and cold food which was perfect. The food in the hotel was also so nice we ate there for lunch every day too. All in all this was perfect and in such a perfect location, we cannot wait for next year!

Before I start, and for a bit of context, my partner and I are lesbians and are always worried about travelling to new places in case we aren’t received very well. However, we had no issues whatsoever staying at this hotel and we never felt unsafe walking around Malia and being ourselves. The Greek people were always extremely warm towards us and never seemed to bat an eyelid at us being a couple, so from our own experience we would say that the hotel and the area itself is LGBTQ+ friendly. We stayed here for a week from the 9th of September 2022 until the 16th of September 2022 and had the most amazing time. We landed late at night and when we arrived at the hotel the night staff were there to greet us and show us to our room. We stayed in room 7 which had been recently renovated. It was lovely and clean, modern and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. We paid to have the buffet breakfast for the duration of our stay and did not regret it at all. Every morning there was a large selection at breakfast, and they even mixed it up every day so that you didn’t get bored - the little sausages were our favourite! The pool area was fantastic and there were plenty of sunbeds available all day, so you didn’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a place by the pool. The hotel is located in the Old Town and is only a 15 minute walk to the strip and a 25 minute walk to the beach. There are also plenty of supermarkets around the area, one right on the doorstep of the hotel. We ate at a couple of restaurants around the corner from the hotel at night, Zorbas and Nostimo, and the food was incredible at both restaurants! Special shoutout to Mezen Restaurant too, we had amazing sushi there on our third night! If you’re wanting to explore Crete, you definitely need longer than a week as we soon found out. Buses run regularly across the island and are extremely cheap. We visited Hersonissos on the bus one day and it was really nice there, so definitely check it out if you’ve got time. We had lunch at the hotel on a couple of occasions and the food was really tasty, especially the chicken gyros! The frozen daiquiris were also very nice and reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly and really couldn’t do enough for you. We asked for a late check-out as we had a late flight coming back and they were more than happy to let us stay in our room right up until our transfer picked us up. There is a charge for late check-out, the air con and the safety deposit box, but I think that’s the case at most places now. The only thing that we could find to pick at were the maids - we were there for a week and only had our sheets changed once and our towels changed twice. Other than that, it really is a fantastic place to stay and I genuinely can’t recommend it enough. See you next year Kristalli!

We are currently on holiday at Kristalli, its a great place to stay, location excellent. Only problem is they play music all day which would be more suitable to a nightclub. Even after a polite request to keep the "music" to just around the pool it still reverberates all around the sun area. Don't think we should be subjected to this.

There are not enough words for how amazing this place is. Value for money it’s the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The location is amazing, close to the strip and the old town so whatever you want it’s on the doorstep. The real star of the show tho is the family that have built the place up from the ground. They can’t do enough for you and are literally on hand day and night. If your going to malia then this is definitely the place to stay. The photos don’t do the place justice either it’s even better in real life. Very very clean throughout. Thank you so much Richard and sherynne

Stayed for 9 nights at the beginning of August 2022, Two adults and two teenagers. Highly rate this hotel, for the chilled out relaxed experience. Family run hotel, who were all very welcoming. Not over intrusive, they get it just right. Room was very clean and a welcoming bottle of wine was a good touch. Hotel food and drinks priced really well and food was fab. Breakfast, choice of hot and cold, not massive choice, but just enough. Hotel was full, but at 10am only a few sun-beds claimed, so sleep in and relax, without stressing over loungers. Big thanks to the girl serving food and drinks every day, she was brill, won’t even try to spell her name, but will look after you. Excellent local restaurant choices, 5 mins walk. Following recommended.. Milo’s two mins away. San Giorgio.. our favourite was Nostimo Restaurant. Stop off at Giannis bar with a secrete roof top terrace. Fab stay 👍👍 Hope to see you again.

Our last day today we booked this purely on the amount of good reviews we read. I can only add to them so many people return time and time again and it’s so easy to see why. It’s just a pleasure to spend time here you feel like your part of the family, they all work so so hard to make sure everything is just so. It’s spotlessly clean, breakfast was ample and every other meal snack was super tasty. There age demographic of guests is widespread but yet they somehow cater for everyone. Can’t say thank you (Efcharisto) enough for making our holiday one to never forget.

Me and my brother stayed at the Kristalli for a week and absolutely loved it! Don't hesitate to book a stay here. The hotel is perfect for all - families, couples and friends! Its located in the quiet old town and only a 15 minute walk to the main strip. There is a good supermarket just outside. The hotel is run by a lovely family who are always so friendly and cannot do enough for you. All of the family work endlessly to keep the hotel looking amazing and spotless. The owners young son is incredibly sweet and enjoyed watching and playing with him in the pool. We stayed in a newly refurbed studio room (9) which was clean and modern. Room service was very good and we had clean bedding every day. We really couldn't fault the hotel or staff. Plenty of sunbeds available all day long in the peak season. Pool bar food was very good - especially their pizzas. The hotel never felt too busy and had a lovely relaxing vibe to it. Don't hesitate to book!
