We spent 10 days in Veranda Suite in October.
The suite is very beautiful, a lot of space and really charming with modern decoration, very confortable bed and other details included in the room that made our stay very appreciable (Nespresso machine with coffee every day and obviously including the Jacuzzi in the veranda).

The breakfast proposed is good and you also have typical food and international : cretean sweet and salty cakes, many choice for fruits and juices, etc...
The service is very good and all staff act more than friends providing nice tips for restaurants and other things (renting a car or, dropping you to the airport, very helpful people). This is a family affair that may feel like you are in a very safe place and they help you when you need even for specific demands (Delivery of the best gyros of the town, etc...).
Then, about the whole hotel, the place is very beautiful and modern, relaxing in the swimming pool or, having breakfast in the garden is like being in paradise. Also, the bar in the garden, very calm, is the place to have a drink in a quiet place. In fact, the hotel and the rooms are very well located because you are very close to the beach and to the main road but, the hotel has an access with a private dead end and so, our stay was very relaxing. The Drossia Palms also purposes a private parking for the car we rent for free.

Thanks a lot to Maria, Sofia and her husband and other members of the staff for your smile, welcoming us and for the beauty of the place you shared to us.

We stayed for 10 nights in the Palm Suite and it was an amazing experience. The room was an absolute luxury and had everything you needed and more. The hot tub was a great novelty to have and the sun hitting the balcony all day made the room even more perfect.
The location was perfect for going to the beach and for going up to the old town, couldn’t have been better placed. Although near to the strip, nothing could be heard at night which was great.
All of the staff were amazing and friendly, Maria especially made our stay great and would always be on hand to give us any advice/take photos etc which was great.
I would recommend staying at Drossia Palms to anybody visiting Malia whether it be as a couple or a family. It’s a great small and quiet hotel that is ran very well by the owners.
We hope to return in the near future.

Good day,

We are very disappointed with the suite. The condition of various things is a disgrace. The beds and the box spring bed as well. They were completely worn out and we both had terrible back pain the whole time.

Then there was the blood-stained stool, the water taps that were never cleaned and the disgusting mosquito net. Covered in dirt and dust. We also had to do without the beautiful and great jacuzzi that was advertised on the internet. The water was completely yellow and smelled terrible. It was only cleaned with high-percentage chlorine. The water is definitely never changed. The pool loungers in the hotel and on the balcony are disgusting. It couldn't be dirtier and grubbier.

The suite consisted of a second room, or rather a small broom cupboard. The washbasin smelled terrible, there was no siphon and the beds were better than in the other room, but the bed linen was only changed when I removed the entire sheet. The cleaning was really bad, the water taps weren't cleaned, the shower and the toilet weren't cleaned either. If we didn't give a tip, they just made the bed quickly. The cleaning lady always had a small child in a buggy with her, maybe she was overwhelmed with everything, the daily screaming (when she cleaned the restaurant in front of our room and the small child was left alone). But that doesn't justify such a clean.

We paid so much for this suite, you couldn't even lie on the lawn in front of the apartment complex for free. They charged us 20 euros.

All in all, this holiday was really ruined for us. We've never seen anything so disgusting.

This was my first stay at Drossia Palms Hotel Malia (Crete) for 34 days in a Superior studio (ground floor great for people with mobility issues). Firstly, the pool area ambience is amazing with plenty of sunbeds, cabanas and sundeck lounges to choose from (as per photos on the website, no gimmicks here). The bar caters for a variety of drinks and a variety of meals. The cleaning services are daily and my room was spotless. I loved my light quilt on the bed for cooler evenings. Best part of the kitchenette was the microwave. My superior studio was quite spacious with one comfortable King mattress. I was often asked by the staff about my stay and any issues which were none. A big shout out to the security guard who made sure that guests were following hotel protocols. This hotel is set back from Malia's beach road so noise from surrounding bars and restaurants is minimal or not at all. The fabulous beach and top quality restaurant/bar (NISOS) is about a 1 minute walk from the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my extended holiday here and will definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Drossia Palms Hotel.

The hotel has great potential, but untapped. I put 4 because you can't put 3.5. It's not very well looked after: my standard room was very large and also well furnished but not very clean and the bathroom was extremely small, the shower cubicle was poorly structured: it was impossible to take a shower without flooding the whole bathroom and I mean everything.
The exterior with the pool area is beautiful...the obviously "strategic" photos make it seem much larger than it is...but still very reliable. Even here, however, some attention to detail wouldn't hurt, see sunbeds with dirty or even broken mattresses. The breakfast is rich and varied and is served by the pool and therefore very suggestive as can be seen from the name. They have an agreement with a beach establishment very close to 250 meters away where for 20 euros you can have an umbrella and comfortable sunbeds all day long.

From booking to leaving it was the perfect holiday!

Booked through booking.com and had frequent communication with Sophia who was lovely and very helpful. As promised the taxi to pick us up was waiting, hassle free and friendly. When we arrived the owner was there to greet us and felt so relaxed and homely. The room was brilliant with access onto a patio and straight to the pool. Only notes on the room is that the tv- although smart- couldn’t play streaming as it didn’t have the apps or even online the updates weren’t sufficient enough to play. No international stations either so couldn’t watch anything. The shower was a little small but these are just picky points and in no way ruined our stay.
The pool was glorious with lovely sun beds, relaxing music and a wonderful atmosphere.
A short walk away is nissos beach. Part of the hotel and was lovely with lively atmosphere in the day and relaxing in the evenings.
I could go on with praise about every aspect of this hotel but it’s good to leave some surprises to the next visitor. I’d just like to thank all the hotel staff for a wonderful week! Especially Angelos (sorry if that’s spelt wrong) he’s a credit! We will be back! Thank you!

I had a great vacation in this incredible hotel on foot from Nisos Beach, the setting is incredible and the swimming pool is very, very beautiful.
In addition to being well located, the hotel is absolutely calm with everything you need nearby.
The value for money is great and you eat very well both in the hotel and at the beach restaurant.
The staff were lovely throughout the stay, I recommend whether you are with family, a couple or alone you will have a great holiday in this hotel. ♥️

We had breakfast included and it was delicious.

Hi. Would this hotel be suitable for a toddler? Is the pool very deep, more than 1.5m?
Answer from Reece101

I can’t recall how deep it is but it’s certainly not a child’s pool, however I couldn’t see why there would be any issue assuming the child has flotation devices and is with an adult. It’s a nice hotel, I would go
