Well, what can I say about Sarpidon... ? Apart from...absolutely lovely, lovely!!! From a warm Welcome Back from the owning family, to the beautiful apartment, to NOTHING is too much trouble!!!! Had a FANTASTIC time there....Saw old friends and made some new ones! And I cant WAIT to go back there! See you next year Dora, Katarina, Craig and Thomas!!! Love to ALL the Sarpidon friends and family! X
Friendly enough, but going by what other people have commented, i wouldn't visit again, nothing special, the greek food was alright, i wouldn't write home about it together with the whole environment. Our accommodation was at the back facing rooftops, aerials, water tanks etc, very noisy as you get the sounds of trucks, motorbikes, quad bikes and everybody shouting.and the 5 am wake up call everyday from the rubbish men.
Not suitable for families, more 18 -30! Very noisy, 24hr bar, so if you like to sleep, give it a miss! 45 mins walk to the beach, very small, people crammed in like sardines! Over priced food and drink with nothing to do around the area. Never again!
Last minute break myself and my 19 year old daughter. Arrived very late as flight delayed but Dora the owner offered us toasted sandwiches and tea as soon as we arrived. Room basic but we knew that but spacious clean ( they changed sheets and towels every two days) Shower worked properly and always plenty hot water. Small balcony but big enough to have our breakfast . Fridge kettle small hob .Fitted airer great for drying towels etc Pool area and gardens all very clean and well kept. Gardens and plants very pretty. Food available ice creams and full bar. Staff all very helpful and friendly 5 minute walk to high street shops supermarkets banks chemists 20 minute walk to Malia beach Bus on Main Street runs every 15 minutes it was 8 Eros to Heraklion and took about 1 hour Old town has some nice restaurants. Location is much quieter than Main Street which was what we wanted. The ladies here really do look after you Although be warned they can break into singing and dancing when Dirty Dancing comes on the play list !!!!…
Set in the old town part of Malia the apartment complex is a mix of older and newer apartments set round a central walkthrough. On staggered 3 floors, well decorated, and with friendly staffing and good facilities. The apartment we stayed in 201 on the first level is well decorated with double bed (two singles) linked together with double headboard. Two ring electric hob unit, toaster ,fridge and a decent array of cooking/cutlery and crockery. Shower area is excellent as is the hot water, a wet room no less! A decent supermarket is 10 minutes walk away, on the start of the main strip down towards the beach. Old town is nice interesting plentyfull restaurants of varying standards. Pool area has plentyfull sunbeds and umbrellas. All you need for a relaxing time doing as you wish.
