Friendly staff, close to the city centre, but unfortunately very thin walls, so you can hear everything that's going on in the next room. Nice beds, did not try the breakfast or the pool. You have to pay extra for WI-FI.
Ibiscus hôtel is a simple but well located and overall a welcoming, friendly place, ruled by a family, two brothers, Dimitri and Ari and Ari’s wife Helani. Those people are just amazing, welcoming you warmly, caring about your needs, giving advices and tips for your stay... and also speaking with you as friends could do about the way the world is going, about politics, philosophy, music or books. Well, if you don’t look for a palace or a fancy place but just for a warm, friendly pension with true people, don’t miss Ibiscus when in Malia!

Spent 6 nights at Ibiscus Hotel. Ari, Elani & Dmitri , friendliest people on the planet. Ari, organised fantastic day trip aroubd Lasiti and Knossos, no extra charge. Rooms very good, overlooked pool. Towels and bedding changed every two days. Pool was great, my son was in it constantly. He also enjoyed food, saying it was best ever. Local people in Malia, very warm and welcoming. Saw golde eagle flying everyday.
