We had the best 10 day all inclusive holiday here!!

For a 3 star, small, Greek hotel, it was brilliant for the price!

I read so many poor reviews this place and some of them couldn’t be more wrong!

We arrived at about midnight and obviously the restaurant was shut. The older man at reception was the loveliest of people!! He gave us a bottle of water and showed us to our room. Yes, you have to pay tourism tax when you arrive and it’s cash only, we were aware of this when we booked via On The Beach. (You have to pay tourism tax which ever hotel you book).

All staff were super chatty, kind, smiley and lovely!! The men on reception were so lovely, welcoming and even waved us off on the coach to the airport!
Even when some guests were unkind to them, complaining and being very rude, they were very helpful and kept their cool!

The rooms are old fashioned, yes, but it’s very Green and is a 3 star! You do have to pay extra for air conditioning, but we didn’t need to. We loved our room, balcony and view!

The food amazing!! Yes, it was limited choice, but once again, it’s only a 3 star and they don’t have many guests, it would just be a waste to have more! Freshly cooked, different choices everyday and we loved it!

All inclusive drinks are only fizzy drinks, beer and wine, hot drinks at breakfast and 3-5pm, but we were super happy with that! Payable drinks weren’t that expensive either, we treated ourselves to 3 cocktails for €12, freshly made and lovely!!

Pool area is brilliant!! A shallow to deep pool, deep end is very deep but great for jumping in! Lots of sun beds and chairs, great sunshine all day and a pool bar! Pool is open 9am - 8pm, pool bar is open 10am - 10pm.

The wildlife is a little noisy, but that’s being abroad for you! Crickets, goats, sheep, chickens and dogs near by but never unbearable noise!

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the strip and about 15 minutes from the harbour and beaches. Easy walking!!

Honestly, we had the best 10 days ever!!

Just visited in July with my friends.

Hotel is alright for what we paid and service is average.

But the real 5 star review comes from Phillip who works there, went above and beyond for us while we stayed. Phillip is top G.

Cheers Phillip for your service

Great stay! We were very satisfied with our stay. We have been there one week and felt great. The staff is very friendly and the food was amazing . It was worth the stay, we have received more than we expected as it was a cheap deal.
Would definitely recommend!

I will start of with this review with the single positive side, the bar man from 2pm - 10pm (Nikita) is a lovely guy who made our stay in this hotel bearable! He is very welcoming and always up for a good chat, along with being the ONLY member of staff that can speak English.

The pool was ok and fairly quiet, however you must bring your own towels as bringing a towel from your room is "forbidden".

The rest of the hotel is poor! The room quality is ridiculous. To start the TV was from the 1960's and didn't even turn on!

It was 8 euros a day for air conditioning... and you really can't sleep without it as its so hot. We stayed for 2 weeks, costing us 132 euros for air-conditioning...

Almost all the staff (Other than Nikita) were rude and unaccomadating. We asked for air conditioning for one day and this was "Forbidden" we asked for a towel on our last day after we checked out and got laughed at..

The food was average, made worse by the fact we had to eat in a sweat box of a "resturaunt" because having air conditioning in the resturaunt is "forbidden".

If you are planning on coming to crete, find a better hotel!

Never coming back again. Book ONLY if you need a place to sleep during nights. Spending time at the hotel was not fun. The pool chairs were dirty, with bird fecalia over them, looked like they don’t get cleaned at all.
By the pool area there were quiet a few cockroaches just crawling around.
At the bar there was only local red and white wine which tasted horrible, beer was okay. No coctails, no other choice of alcohol.
Coffee at the bar you can get only 15:00 and at the diner only during breakfast.
You can’t bring towels from the hotel to the pool and you can’t even rent them.
Our bedsheets were not changed a single time during our 7 day stay there, the room was not cleaned and there were no brooms or cleaning supplies that we could use ourselves.
No air conditioning. I guess we had to ask for it but we didn’t want as it would require us to pay them money for it.
Food, very simple, a lot of it tasted a bit stale, like it’s been there for several days, without any taste. One day we even felt sick from the food as it was very oily.

We paid for all-inclusive food, the fact is that the meal was buffet-style unlimited consumption, but with poor quality food! The selection was limited, there was absolutely no variety. At breakfast, there were 2 kinds of cold meats, eggs, and "baby" sausages that tasted bad. Cucumbers and tomatoes were the everyday vegetables. The fruit selection wasn't too big either, melons or grapefruits. The main dishes weren't very varied either...we also saw the meatballs in 3 different ways... .. and other unrecognizable, tasteless dishes. Of course, you can't cook well for all guests, but it's a bit annoying that you pay full board and have to go to restaurants every day to be able to eat delicious food. (We spent 7 days in the hotel, but on the 4th day we didn't even attend the dinner.) Among the drinks, draft beer, wine and soft drinks can be consumed in unlimited quantities. Coffee is only available at specified times. Soft drinks are not included in the package and must be paid separately. The rooms are quite old and could be improved, but they are clean! The staff is very nice, especially Smiley!

The food is good (and plenty of it) - although I never got as far as the chips. Lots of salads and a choice of 9 hot dishes most meals .. meatballs, souvlaki, fish, moussaka, pork steaks, lamb.... If you only eat MacD or fish and chips it probably won't suit but why go to Crete if you won't eat Cretan food? The Saturday night "Greek Experience" is just that ... with lots of raki and plate smashing. The adage 'dance like no-one's watching' definitely applies to the manager Nikos and his staff!

The bar service is faultless. Never got past the lager, wine and soft drinks though... It's not a '£20 a bottle' red, but still very nice. The 10 pm finish that seems to offend so many detractors here, I suggest is a reflection of their attitude, not the hotel's. I don't recall the bar actually stopping serving much before 11 - everyone was having so much fun.

Rooms are clean and tidy - and the staff are friendly. The pool always had plenty of sun beds ... no 6 am towels here...

Having walked into Malia most days for a coffee or drink,I have to admit I was glad the hotel was 10 minutes away from the centre - the '10 euro all you can drink in an hour' offers (with the resultant pavement issues) are not really my idea of a fun holiday.

Generally, I cannot fault the holiday or the service or the hotel ... when you think it was less than £25 a night for a bed, three meals and all you can drink .. most enjoyable!

100% recommended - cannot wait to go again

Positive:
It was tasty. We had All Inclusive program, food very well. Beer, wine, raki, oozo - good. Personal very nice. Cleaning every day. Nikos (manager) thank you so much. Thanx for the rent car for good price, thanx for change room.

Negative:
Rooms are too small and like in 2 stars hotel, just 2 towels for person.
The neighbors can be heard well ;)

We went on holiday as a family (group of 10), both adults and teenagers. Unfortunately due to water/pipes issue at the hotel we were put in another (terrible) hotel for two nights. We came back after the second night and were pleasantly surprised. Nikos the manager is very professional and a truly great person. He was very welcoming to us and apologised for what happened. He upgraded our rooms which were very comfortable and had an amazing view of the pool, sea and mountains. Pool area is nice, clean and well kept. Food was nice and the chef made a lot of effort. Saturday is greek night with shots of Raki and Greek food. The bar man and mini-bus driver are both great and a great laugh. As a plus there is a number of local cats and kittens which are very friendly and come around for cuddles. We loved our time at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone.
