This little place might be worth an evening or a day trip. Its nicely situated just off the Mosel and, after a climb through forests and narrow roads, you arrive at the mountain top with this old structure. The plusses: off the beaten path, isolated, the experience of a throwback to another era, and a real sense of what it...

This was our second visit to Burg Arras a top of a stunning hill in Alf Germany. The views are spectacular and who can say they stayed in an actual Castle....ME.....it is an awesome experience. One of my favorite parts is Frau Andrea who we found out has been working there for over 30 years, she is just so special...

We stumbled on this castle while driving in the Moselle valley. You have to walk up the last 0.6 Km to reach the castle after driving up a very narrow two-way lane. We didn't stay overnight but just visited for about an hour. It is small, quaint, has lots of memorabilia, and interesting rooms including a tower and a dungeon....

We wanted to spend a weekend at the Mosel and many places in the area where already booked out, then I came across Hotel Burg Arras. What a find! It is run by the owner family and they do a great job in keeping the place in good repair - not easy with old castles - and are very good...

We stopped here as a family so that my daughter could experience a real castle for the night. Burg Arras is a delightful mix of old and new, and with only a few rooms, the place was largely ours for the evening, with only 10 people at dinner and only six staying the night. The rooms were clean, comfortable with...

We drove up the scary road to visit the Hotel for lunch and to chek out the hotel. The views from the terrace are amazing. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and we ate in the large, airy restaurant which ahs a wonderful historical feel-hanging tapestries, suits of armour, etc. The food was traditional, hearty and very flavourful-venison goulash and...

Castle Arras is centrally located between Zell and Castle Eltz, so everything you will want to see in Mosel Valley is easy to get to. It overlooks Alf, which has a number of boat landings, making boat excursions easy as well. The castle has been superbly restored and the staff is very friendly. It is the oldest castle on the...

I'll be honest; it's been 3 years since I've stayed at Burg Arras. I wish I had made this review within the 12-month required time-frame for Trip Advisor, but failed to do so. I hope this excellent hotel receives the review it deserves. Should this review be published... I will upload some pictures too. Wow - what a find! Stumbled...
