Not knowing the area and needing a hotel for one night we reverted to Trip Advisor (near me now) and found this hotel, and SO GLAD WE DID! The hotel is located with wonderful views down a valley and has been recently renovated, not to say rebuilt. It is beautifully appointed with large stylishly furnished rooms, many with private covered...

We loved it from the moment we checked in. We were greeted with outstanding warmth, kindness and a welcoming spirit. The spa is magnificent and our last nights dinner was one of the best surf and turf meals I have ever experienced. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave and tried to stay another night and they...

We have been there for nine times now. There is always a warm welcome. We have had a junior suite, a large room with balcony and a nice view outside. The diner is always a surprise. Not only how it tastes but also how it looks. Apparently the cook does not only know his job he likes it too. This...

This hotel deserves all of the very good reviews that it has received. We arrived towards the end of a major rebuilding project and the hotel had a very modern, fresh and clean feel to it. The room (a junior suite) was exactly as described and photographed on the website. The staff were very friendly, helpful and Martin and his...

Very nice hotel for visiting the Schwartzwald area. Rooms look a bit old-fashioned, but I guess this is a must in the Schwarzwald area. A lot of nice walking tours are available in the area. A smartphone with gps and the Schwartzwald application is really recommended if you want to walk a lot.
