It's rare I give 5* but this place would have more if that was an option. It's unlike any hotel I've ever been to in that it's completely informal and totally relaxed. Set in its own immaculate vineyard this tastefully converted building is an absolute gem. The interior decor is amazing giving the impression that family heirlooms, flea market finds... More

A few months ago I booked, or rather thought I had booked a standard room for two nights. Never noticed though that the hotel had decided to reserve us instead a rather peculiar gypsy caravan sitting isolated beside the pool area, and never once asked for my approval. The room is called La Roulotte and it is worth consulting the... More

Some places are so beautiful, they should not be shared with the rest of the world. Yet, I shall do so: Bastide de Marie. sublime ! romantic ! charming ! adorable ! lovely !... beautifully set admist wineyards, TLC to details and interiors. only little booboos: why use plastic flowers instead of real ? and the food could have been... Situated in a stunning location in the vineyards, the outdoor restaurant was excellent. The aperitif tasting to start with introduced me to blue pastis which was superb (I will have to track this down in the shops). There were 8 of us for dinner only and we were served at the same time with great food. Thanks to everyone for... More

Came there by chance. The whole experience was delightful. The staff was friendly, to the point and would give advice. The place has its own vineyard, but the their own wine is not quite on par with the food and the place in general. The food is superb, everything tasted delicious. I loved the design of the whole place, down... More

An old bastide beautifully and imaginatively converted offering a remarkable dinner bed and breakfast package including as much of their own wines as you wish. Their wines are produced about 100 metres away from the vines surrounding the bastide. Additionally, they have a complementary pre-dinner bar and offer complementary cold tea and cakes at tea time. Two swimming pools. Altogether... More

If you're looking for somewhere that's really relaxing and offers every comfort - this is the place. A traditional farmstead set in its own vineyards, beautifully restored and eclectically furnished, La Bastide is in a peaceful setting of the Luberon foothills and offers superb cooking and impeccable service in a very relaxed atmosphere - so relaxed that it appears to... La Bastide de Marie was THE highlight of a 2 week trip from Paris to the French Riviera. After reading the reviews, I think it's important when looking at this hotel to think of it as more of a bed and breakfast than a "luxury hotel". Staying here is like staying at a friend's French cottage, which also happens to... More
