My wife and I stayed for 2 days while roaming the area and I will say we could not have been happier The rooms are quaint and well decorated with all the small touches that make your stay even more special from the wonderful flowers in the room to the majestic view from the room at sunrise and sunset. If... More

Quaint hotel. Wood beams in the rooms. Old building with renovated (albeit small) rooms and gorgeous bathrooms. Pretty location high on a hill with a large swimming pool. However, watch out for the wasps at the pool, as I was stung. Staff was helpful - called right away to advise us of something left in the room upon our departure.... More

I am regular here and have visited every year for at least once per year for the past 4 years. I do not see this trend stopping anytime soon. It becomes difficult to find new superlatives, but as the title says, Charembeau is simply the best! A beautiful location, with plenty of short walks, and views North to the Montagne... More

What a charming auberge!! This beautiful small hotel is located close to the village of Forcalquier. It has verdant and expansive grounds and small touches like the fresh bouquets in all the bedrooms and the lovely fruit salad for breakfast make this a special place run by thoughtful hosts. The impressive sculptures in the garden, the elegant pools , the... More

We have just spent two nights at this hotel after reading the excellent reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel sits in beautiful grounds with a lovely heated pool, tennis court and gardens, a real haven of peace. We had a junior suite on the second floor with a view over the pool and gardens. The room is decorated in... More

I stayed there for a night and it was magnificent! The Hotel is beautiful, inside and out. It has a large pool and good-looking common areas that you can enjoy, such as a well decorated living room with sofas and a bookcase with books you can borrow. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and large, with a big... More

The family at Charmebeau offer a comfortable and lovely lodging option to explore the Alps and surrounding area. We visited during the quiet month of March, but there were still flowers in our room and a warm crackling fire in the Salon fireplace to greet us. The staff was approachable and provided exceptional service in planning our activities and dining... More

Once again, our annual trip to Charembeau, and once again, it fully lived up to our recollection from previous visits. A stunning location with views to Mt Lure and the Alps beyond. Forests and Pumpkin fields surround Charembeau, and there are plenty of nice walks and cycling routes. The hotel is a great place to get away from it all,... More

Breakfast is available at Charembeau for non-hotel guests at 14 euro per head and my wife and I have greatly enjoyed this treat on a number of occasions, however, booking is essential. On a warm sunny morning, sitting on the outside terrace is a delight and the breakfast excellent consisting of fresh fruit, juice, a selection of breads and croissants... More

I only wish we had more time at Charembeau! Our one night stay was perfection - the hotel has a very authentic feel: it is completely renovated and clean yet feels old and authentic. Reception staff is friendly and professional. The pool area is spacious and clean. Breakfast was fantastic food quality wise and setting wise - their terrace has... More
