Very friendly staff. One night a few of us on a tour group were sitting in the bar area discussing what we had seen that day. One of the staff welcomed us back and provided us with a small dish of appetizers before any of us had even thought to order anything. The rooms were clean and the views of...

Staying at the very pleasant hotel Des Iles. The hotel is well run and clean. Although our room was small it was big enough for our 3 nights, the downside of the room is that there are not enough flat services to put the normal paraphernalia of traveling on to, especially in the en suite. Parking is on the roadside...

Stayed for two nights at this hotel at the beginning of May. Allocated a seaview corner room, which was very spacious, clean and fresh. The seafood restaurant was amazing, the variety of the buffet was the best we've seen, fresh every day. Easy access to the beautiful sandy beach, can imagine in the summer would be extremely busy, but quiet...

Like staying at your very stylish friend's house for the weekend. Beautifully decorated with a good attention to detail and simple but exquisite style. The owner is just as delightful, and can't do enough for the guests - late breakfasts after a long lie in, and they secured our bikes in the basement without fuss. Food was very good and...

Was just taken to lunch here to celebrate a friend's birthday - delightful! Simple fish food buffet lunch, but matched up to 5* restaurant food in the UK, and all for 18 Euros (set-menu). There was hot food buffet if you wanted it, to follow, but I was full on my plate of seafood. This was followed by a plateful...

Found this hotel by chance as the one I had booked into seemed closed when I arrived and not at all like photo on website. Staff courteous and helpful and I liked the decor of Bedroom and Main Areas. They were also very welcoming to my little dog. Location great just beside beach and wonderful fresh fish at Hors d'oeuvres...

Visited for a long weekend with my wife. The hotel is quite nice with great views over the beach and across the bay. There's an outside heated pool which was open when we visited but we declined! Decent food and a good selection of drinks available but like most French hotels and restaurants, way over priced. The dining room was...

We visited primarily because of the location of the hotel directly on the beach. Sadly the weather was atrocious so we didn't get to enjoy it. We left early as when the weather is bad Barneville isn't a great place to be. There is literally nothing to do, the hotel is the only place to eat when the excellent beach...

This is a tricky place to review given the significant contrast in various aspects, and it was the final leg of our French adventure formulated of other superb hotels and gites. One the plus side the lovely location is separated by a quite road road from the beach, and the decor and space on the ground floor is beautifully "beach...

Located just over an hour from Cherbourg, this hotel is the perfect weekend retreat for tired, jaded Brits needing a restorative break by the sea. Miles of sandy beach are but yards from the hotel front door. There is also an outdoor pool. The hotel is very family-friendly and the staff extremely helpful. The rooms are modern but few frills....
