I stayed at La Distillerie for 9 days while visiting family. I am an older woman traveling on my own. I felt completely safe there. They staff was wonderful, and the room was perfect and well equipped. It was great to have a small kitchen area and sitting room. We ate one evening in the Bistro and had a very good meal. My only “complaint” is that I had many problems with the key card not working. The hotel is in a great location, and it takes just a couple of minutes to walk into the enchanting town. The rooms are very quiet. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at the Garrigae Distillerie de Pezenas for three nights during an unseasonably cold November. The location is great -- under five minutes on foot to the center of Pézenas with a private parking lot. The room we had was comfortable, with a separate sitting area, a small kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave, and a balcony overlooking the parking lot. We opted for the breakfast (which included the typical European foods -- cheeses, cold cuts, yogurts, fruit, pastries, breads, etc., and also scrambled eggs). There were a couple of odd things about the hotel, though, which brought the hotel down a notch from what would otherwise be outstanding. Firstly, a sign is posted on a kitchen cabinet door warning guests that they must was and put away any used pieces or be subject to a large fine, but no washing-up liquid is provided (we used shampoo to wash our dishes). Then, the small table in our kitchen/sitting area had only one chair (we sat on the couch to eat). We ate in our room in part because we were avoiding going into restaurants during the height of the Covid pandemic, but also because it was too cold to eat at any of the outdoor tables. Having a microwave enabled us to reheat food we picked up to go from nearby restaurants. I'd read about Pézenas being a beautiful and lively town, but in November it was almost entirely dead, with most restaurants and bars closed. Still, Pézenas is a great base for exploring nearby areas, especially Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert and the villages of the Haut Languedoc.…
La Distillerie is a great recommendation, the staff are friendly, the room that we received was of very high quality, and overall, the specific location of the hotel means that you can be in the historic centre of Pézenas in a few seconds, but via the discreet and safe bridge. Loved it all. Highly recommended!
We stayed at the Distillerie with family and friends for a few nights before and after our daughter and son in law wedding. From the first moment, we , and our guests arrived , were made to feel special and at home. Great breakfast and wonderful restaurant the menu is top ! The staff could not have been nicer: offering support and assistance to our elderly guests, organising a wonderful taxi service for all of our guests (Thibaud taxi beautiful car and wonderful driver!) Pezenas is a beautiful town and La Distillerie a superb hôtel to which we will return for sure .
We lives our stay at Garrigae. I cannot name anything that could be bettered. Friendly staff, beautiful spacious appartment with balcony, private Parking, easy acces to town (very nice town, make reservations for dinner!), quiet, good sized pool and last but nog least the loviest breakfast buffet you’d ever see. I felt like i was in an movie scene somehow. Highly recommended!
Very good stay in this nice hotel. Free parking, nice swimming pool, friendly staff, nice large luminous classical suite with very good bed, complete breakfast, 20 minutes by car from the sea. We can only recommand this hôtel !
This is the nicest, most welcoming and friendly hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Andrew checked us in and mainly looked after us throughout the visit. He was superb. Nothing was too much trouble. The food is brilliant, the hotel is decorated to an exceptional standard. Nice pool, very relaxed and tranquil setting. Their Covid-19 rules were carried out well. The breakfast coffee was lovely. We really likes the hotel director, and not just because she recognised us in a local bar and bought us a drink!!! 😍 But seriously, if you get a chance to visit this place please do. We will absolutely be back. Andrew, thank you so much! Was really nice to be given a lovey bottle of Rosé on the last evening. Nice touch!!
My daughter and I stopped here for an overnight stay while travelling from Geneva to Biarritiz, perfact as half way. Room was enormous, not super clean...floor a bit dusty but the room was nice and very spacious. The bathroom set up was fine. For us the highlight was the fine food and service. Great staff. Coffee was also amazing
The team at Distillerie de Pezenas were incredibly friendly, helpful and flexible in helping us when our travel plans changed due to covid. We had a much better experience here than with other hotels where our travel plans were forced to change. 5* service - thank you!
We reserved a few nights at this little hotel. We had booked a few nights in a 2 bed suite but we were given the smallest suite available which wasn't what was promised in the hotel description on the website. After raising this with them, they did actually change us after one night to the best top floor suite which also had a balcony jacuzzi. The breakfast was good but the dinner meal was a bit below average with not much choice for the kids. We chose to eat out the night after and followed the short cut from the hotel over the bridge using the bridge gate code. It took us a few minutes to reach the centre. The outdoor pool was great and really warm but beware the boarder of the pool is very slippery. Our son fell over and it's concrete. The ambience of the hotel is lovely- see photos. We would definitely return for a longer stay.…
