Okay so my review disappeared so here we go again as I really think these matter. I only do really good or if I think there’s an issue. This hotel is the second. Great things: the actual building. It’s stunning. Amazing. The rooms (or our room) was tiny though and as we paid €140 and it’s off season and we were the only guests I’m puzzled as to why we got a tiny room with air con that didn’t work. 32 degrees and no air con? So we had a totally sleepless night and woke up to a fairly non descript breakfast for another 30 euro. It’s pre packaged cheap supermarket stuff. I think the staff are super nice and it’s a pretty building but it doesn’t reflect the rating it gets! Four and a half stars? What? This is 3 at best. Sorry!

Sorry that your night did not give you any satisfaction, concerning the air conditioning, you should have indicated it to us, we put it in function because it works very well (we just checked), you have not to use the good button, and the August problem did not concern this room. You have chosen a room at 110.92 € and not 140 and by no means tiny and when at breakfast, it is products from local production, organic and fair trade and not industrial and packaged .... Looking forward Sincerely The reception

The hotel is stunning and the pool is fantastic, the staff are relaxed and it's a great spot to sit and play cards in the evening as the sun goes down. There is also a cute little dog to greet you! The hotel is not good value for money, the wifi didn't work once, although relaxed the staff didn't make us feel looked after at all. The dinner was 13-15 euro a dish and served from gourmet canned food they sell at the front desk. The jacuzzi and sauna advertised are 40 euros an hour to use! The bed in our small room was rock hard and I woke up every morning with a bad back, we were also under the living room so very loud every morning with children playing. The small bathroom smelt bad and was hard to move in as we are tall. I would have ignored these things if the hotel had been better value for money, unfortunately they really over charge!!

The hotel is in a very pleasant setting and is highly rated by many reviewers.I would agree with almost all the positive comments but feel that to be objective the are some small negatives that should be mentioned. The pool is quite small and does not provide space for more than six people poolside. Its location is close to Thuirs but you have to drive for some distance to find a restaurant. In the evening the food is limited and cannot be described as offering a restaurant service. We did have platters of cheese and charcuterie which were good, but the wine selection is very limited. There is an offer of dishes presented in boxes and cooked "sous vide" which I did not find appealing. In contrast the breakfasts were very good including freshly cooked bacon and eggs. The owner is charming and has a young team assisting her.The service in the evening was patchy as the owner was not present. If the food service in the evening matched the breakfast experience it could be much better.

This hotel was a refreshing change from the norm. A lovely old Spanish style building in pretty grounds. A pool and pretty courtyard and a great room. We arrived after a long drive and had the charcuterie and cheese in the lounge upstairs. It was perfect. The next evening they recommended a great restaurant in town. They offered omelette, scrambled or boiled egg (with soldiers) for breakfast along with fruit, croissants etc etc. Friendly and helpful at reception. If we're that way again will definitely go back.

Tranquility ! This is a very special boutique hotel which we would love to stay at again. The building is a beautiful, old, rambling building which has been modernised to a very high standard; creating beautiful modern rooms in a characterful setting. The pool is really pretty and the deck area has a small stream running past it which creates a beautiful setting to relax. The staff are lovely - very welcoming and nothing was a problem from a kettle in the room to a random bottle of wine and plate of cheese request late one evening. We stayed for 7 nights in Room 8 which is a double room with a private balcony; perfect room - peaceful, well appointed, lovely en-suite shower room. We opted not to have breakfast and went to Thuir every morning which is a 5 minute drive and there are a number of cafes to choose from. The hotel is in the Catalan region and there are lots of fab hilltop towns and vineyards around the property; Castelnous is just 5 mins away, Collioure is about 30mins and the hotel is just over an hour from Beziers airport. There is a fab weekly market in Thuir on a Saturday morning that is well worth a visit.
