Detailed Reviews
Valerie and Pascal were warm and welcoming hosts. The meals were outstanding. Valerie went above and beyond our expectations when catering for my gluten free diet. She even made g/f chocolate cake for my birthday!
The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean.
A lounge for guests use with a toasty warm log burner.
We will definitely return to see the restaurant which Valerie is planning.

Getting to Auberge La Rompardais was not the easiest thing to do, but was well worth the effort. About a 30 minute drive from Dinan through small towns and countryside, La Rompardais was a peaceful respite from the larger cities we had visited. Valerie met us at the door and showed us our rooms. Both were quite large, clean and very comfortable with good views of the surrounding countryside. Breakfast each day was outstanding. My only regret is that we stayed only 2 nights.

The host family are such wonderful people who do everything to make the stay relaxing and enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble. Good location for visiting the coast or exploring inland. We give it our unreserved recommendation.

That was perfect because of you too!! We thank you very much for your humor, kindless, and sincere exchanges. That was a real week off for me!!! Thanks for chocolates, I hope you'll like jelly apples with your homemade pancakes ;-) See you soon, I hope! Valérie

A warm and friendly welcome. And above all, plates with an exceptional sense of seasoning. Seasonal ingredients that breathe freshness. We find in the dishes all the pleasure that the chef has to regale the guests.

Beautiful house that mixes, Gîte, Bed and Breakfast and Hostel. Very welcome from Valerie, who manages the whole (rooms, kitchen, service) masterfully! Large bright bedroom with well equipped bathroom. Unfortunately our rooms are on the 2nd floor, without elevator. A little difficult for septuagenarians...
Hearty and varied breakfasts, and a hostess well listened to the taste peculiarities of her guests. Good card quite original. Everything is prepared in a very practical and beautiful kitchen, overlooking the room. This makes it possible to note the great cleanliness of the laboratory! Good exchanges with our hostess and interesting location to visit the area!

It was our first meal at La Rompardais. We came for dinner during the week. The inn is isolated in the countryside. There is no problem parking. The old, well-maintained building is attractive.
We are very well received by the owner. We immediately appreciate the way he presents the menus to us. We have the choice of taking dishes from the menu that are those of the moment, off the menu. Which we will do and we will not regret it.
The dishes are truly original and the owner does not hesitate to tell us about her preparations. From starter to dessert, we enjoyed what was offered to us. Also note the originality and the distinguished side, without too much, of the plates and dishes. The owner was kind enough to give us her sources and we later went to buy some small bowls and plates at the place indicated.
There were few people there the evening we came to Rompardais. The boss therefore had more time to devote to us. In any case, we had a very good evening and enjoyed an excellent meal which remained very affordable. Note that the inn sells a few things, notably bottles of excellent Pommeau.

Last year I appreciated the kindness of the chef and the good dishes, during a birthday for my father-in-law who was celebrating his 90th birthday! I came back with my friends so they could taste the dishes and they were not disappointed! On the contrary, they will return with great pleasure and so will I!
