Very nice rooms, clean and big. The lobby is big, and you can drink something there. After 8 p.m, spa is not working and there are no shops or any kind of entertainment . The breakfast was very very nice, a lot of food, and the restaurant looks nice.

I really do not know where to start from. My boyfriend has decided to propose to me in a 5* place and he asked for assistance with arranging the decoration and the surprise. Firstly they have refuse to do it (???) but after someone has contacted him and told that they will do decoration. So for now it is good. After he asked to light candles and spread rose leafs, but they have told him “that the candles are going to burn down the hotel” and that “they can not put real rose leafs” (???). So imagine us walking into this and I have to be happy about fake rose leafs and stupid swans and he must manage my disappointment so he can propose to me in my favorite season - autumn. I am sad and disappointed how 5* hotel can ruin moments like these and not to assist enough for it. I mean this is one of the most important moments in persons lifes. I guess. And I don’t think to have another engagment... And this is the story i must tell to my children and grandchildren. Terrible! Other things were that the recycle bin was broken in the room and the button for the toilet flush was also almost broken. Bath tub was not really clean. The lady on reception was not really nice and welcoming. We have booked Vip zone SPA for 2. In the begining it was nice, but when we got to the jaccuzi it was all filled with small black things, which the spa manager has assured us it was bath salts. I think we are all aware that bath salts are melting in the water. The “relax zone” is basically sex room. And I couldn’t belive it. I thought it is going to be some kind of aroma room with chilled music and nice lightning so you can relax. But no. There were condoms, some scarf and if you like there was also whip. Fantastic... Breakfast was not something special, no matter you are in a 5* hotel :) Also, do not think that you can find Meditterenian restaurant . There was not. It was “block medditeranian” food like on the breakfast, unfortunately i can not see nothing medditeranean in meat balls and french fries. And you must pay 35 lv per person for an awful block...Can you? I have been in a lot of places and hotels during my vacations and business. And I can not believe that for this hotel someone has gave 5*. What are the requerments, because the level is extremely low...

Paid top price for one of the best rooms in this hotel (apartment) apparently it is only just been finished and we were the second people to stay there. The staff at reception helpful and at first glance the room look nice although reminiscent of a show piece from IKEA, it lacked a little detail and comfort & look quite smart, but it smelled new of paint and glue, so much we decided to put the air conditioning on as it was 28 degrees outside and the room was stuffy and smelled so bad. After 5-minutes we realised it was blowing out hot air so we called the maintenance guys and they told us it didn't blow cold air only hot. There was no tea or coffee facilities in the room and this is supposed to be a 5-star hotel or so we were told at reception this is the first 5* hotel we've ever stayed in that didn't have tea and coffee facilities for the guests in the room. So I went for a shower to freshen up when I went in the bathroom the access panel and the ceiling was hanging down. I couldn't reach it so I decided to carry on with the showering I open the door lent across the turn on the water to see how it worked and a jet of water from the hand shower which was pointing at the door Hit Me full in the body with great pressure but unfortunately there was no thermostatic control and the water was boiling and scolded me and when I jump back the water shot out through the door across the room into the mirror and the toiletries etc on the sink. I managed to reach inside and turn off the water and I turned the handheld shower around and tried again. I turned the lever too cold and the water got even hotter so I turned it too hot and it became cool 🙄. Once I had the temperature right by pulled the knob that makes it come from the overhead faucet shower and they're not came off in my hand and as it hasn't been screwed in. We called in the maintenance Guy and he said he couldn't keep up fixing the problems that the the contractors who had finished the hotel well had left them. Where the painters had finished off around the really nice hessian wallpaper they had not cutting properly and you could see where the painted over the paper. The finish although at first glance look good it was substandard. They moved us to an older room which was better. Although we paid top price for or a sweet including breakfast and Spa entry we were charged 3 BG le vextra for an expresso coffee & the swimming pool etc was closed for cleaning before we had to vacate the hotel. On saying all that..... the Archaeological Museum and the town and park we're really nice to visit and we had a nice evening meal in the Square. I would recommend a trip to Sandanski for this but I would stay nearer to the centre as the Pirin hotel is too far out to walk to the centre. In conclusion I would say that the hotel has had a tremendous amount of money spent on it and it has great facilities etc the staff were very pleasant but poorly trained. Hotel is in a wooded Valley and the views from the hotel rooms both were poor looking at roofs and the close sides of woodland hills. We had stayed in the Kempinski hotel in in Bansko the night before which was excellent... the difference was like chalk and cheese. I hope as the hotel tell us that it will get better it has the capacity to be nice.

A pleasant vacation Our company (3 adults, 2 kids) has in general good impressions of a pleasant holiday in Pirin Park Hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, the pools (one of them – small – for kids) – attractive with their warm (partially) mineral water. The small park seems well maintained. We used half board - the breakfast was good, though not too diverse; the dinner was sometimes on block table (preferred), sometimes with set menu. The food was tasty, but not too diverse. The girls on the receptions were polite, the service in the restaurant might be more friendly, but was sufficiently professional for relatively smooth operation. I have not used spa facilities. So in principle we may think about a future visit the hotel.
