As this is apparently a 5-star hotel, we were expecting better.

Our room was spacious, and so was our bathroom which was well appointed, but the shower leaked and SOAKED the floor.

The pool area was very nice and the water a great temperature, but we could not figure out where to find the towels for the pool area and there was nobody around to ask. There was only one server at the pool bar, so service was VERY slow and she seemed totally overwhelmed and was not friendly at all.

We found the wait staff at both dinner and breakfast also unfriendly and seemed to want to be doing anything else but serving you, although the food was quite good.

The only friendly staff we found was the delightful lady who cleaned our room.

Overall, just okay.

Our expectations were quite high because of the hotel's own publicity and indeed the price they were asking for a small suite, consisting of a bedroom, a large day room, two bathrooms (one with bathtub) and 2 balconies. For comparison, a few years ago we stayed in a suite in Shiroka Laka for a much lower price.

The good points:

The swimming pool is quite large and very warm, so no unpleasant shocks when getting in! The whole area is clean and very pleasant, and mercifully it wasn't very busy while we were there. There is also a separate childrens' pool.

Our suite was also very clean and everything worked very well, including - thankfully - the aircon. It was a real bonus having two separate bathrooms.

The breakfast buffet was extensive and generous and it's served in the Mediterranean restaurant.

All the staff we encountered were pleasant to deal with if not overly friendly. In particular the restaurant waiting staff were very nice.

We had one evening meal in one of the restaurants; the food was very well prepared and presented and very enjoyable.

The bad points:

The bed was very firm (which may suit some people, admittedly) and although this wasn't such a problem, the pillows were also very, very firm, and there appeared to be no choice in this matter (compare, for example, with the Holiday Inn in Sofia, where there is a choice of pillows) and this was quite a problem for me.
(There's much more I wanted to say but the character limitation doesn't allow it).

We have visited this hotel in Juli with our family.
We enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool and the Spa facilities. We can recommend the massages.
We stayed in one of the newer family rooms.
The room was spacious and clean, the AC worked perfect and the bed was very comfortable.
The room was located at the riverside and the water from the river could be heard which created a very relax vibe.
All staf was very service minded and we felt very welcome
We can recommend this hotel to everyone who would like to have comfort and the guarantee for a good stay

This is not a 5-star luxury hotel, it's being promoted. Service is terrible, and you can get them to do anything. Overall hotel staff (apart from the cleaning staff) is not polite and nowhere to be found when needed. Buffet breakfast is available for only 2h in the morning and if you go towards the end, there is literary no food, and the staff is refusing to refill. We made one type of reservation, we were given a different room. Overall, very bad experience, an overpriced hotel with 0 service.

Top choice for a hotel in Sandanski region.
Not so far from Sofia few hours drive only by highway and less than 1 hour from the Greek border.
Great area in general with super mild climate.
Very well maintained hotel, spotlessly cleaned.
The employees are very friendly and seams like they enjoy their job and do it with pleasure.
Room are very well appointed with everything you need.
The Spa is great too, especially if you visit the hotel in the week days you can be almost alone like in a private mansion :)))
The food is good and the buffet for breakfast is so extensive their is not a single missing thing for any kind of diet.
The food in general is great in the whole region, you may find also good places to eat in the city of Sandanski.
Overall great value for money, of course it is not cheap but it is totally worth it and much better compared to other so called “famous” mineral springs resorts in Bulgaria.
I would definitely come again

Do not be fooled - this is a pretend 5 star hotel.

The service is terrible and the staff does not understand basics of customer service. There is an obvious lack of management oversight to ensure things are running.

Timely maintenance does not seem to be their strong side - the jacuzzi was not working propely over our stay and they did not really employ visible efforts to fix it or explain otherwise.

Everyone lacks general accountability and maybe even understanding on what their role is and how that role contributes to a nice experience and satisfaction of their guests.

Will never return nor recommend this place to anyone.

Stay away.

EXCELLENT! It is a fantastic hotel, nice, quiet, comfortable. The room was large, comfortable, although the cot was somewhat small and short. Ours had a balcony. Bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, comfortable, with dressing gowns and chinelas Dinner at the hotel: typical food, very rich Breakfast very good

The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the food was amazing. We had a wonderful time in the yard drinking prosseco. The pool was heated and besides the not very warm weather we had a lot of fun swimming outside and sunbathing. The staff were really nice. Our stay was great there and we will definitely go back there very soon.

The hotel is operating with minimum required staff. Poor quality of the food. Dining area dirty with spider webs and strange bugs under the tables. Construction work during our stay. People leaving towels on the sun beds from 6:00 am to get good spot at the pool

I was in the hotel for second time and it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel.
For reaching more good results the hotel can improve the strength of the internet in the rooms. I found a good smell in the SPA area and I suggest the hotel to arrange same in the corridors and in the rooms.
