Tusita Wellness Resort, a new rebranding wellness destination for rejuvenating your health as well as your beauty and mind based on the concept of balancing with the four elements; earth, water, air and fire according to the Thai Traditional Medicine and Nutrition. All things in the world can be divided into four vibrational families and the elements of water, air, Fire, and Earth. In the body, these four Elements represent the four major organs. Usually, one of these organs is stronger than the others giving extra energy to that organ and helping people to behave in certain ways and clearly influences personality and lifestyle choices. And, one of the organs is usually slightly deficient and needs building up. When you are strong in one element, you usually need to build up the other element to find balance.

Decent Resort but Pricing on the High Side
We stayed at Tusita wellness resort as part of a road trip with a stop in Chumphon. We booked the Grand Deluxe room which was adequate for our needs, the main criticism would be that it was very dark inside, not only during the day it was lacking sunlight but also in the evening the light fixtures were too weak so we had to use iphone and ipad flashlights as supplementary lighting. The room was almost a stand-alone villa so it was private, it was sharing a wall with another room but the shared wall was via the outdoor shower and bath area, not the bedroom so when sleeping it was quiet. Wifi worked well with speed of 45 Mbps (download) and 80 Mbps (upload). I thought the price was somewhat on the high side despite rooms being offered at 50% discount at the moment, I paid about the same price at Tusita than a suite the next day at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin which is a 5-star hotel from an international chain. In fairness Chumphon is not Hua Hin so they should not be directly compared but it’s clear that with very little hotel competition in Chumphon the price level tends to be higher than in Hua Hin for what we get.

    Sufficient.
We booked the garden room and thought that it could be the ‘garden view’ of the hotel that is located on the beach. But actually its a garden garden. You have to walk around 500 m. to reach its beach wing. The garden is natural and beautiful. The hotel is clean, although all the bathrobes and bedsheets smell kinda damp. Food is amazing, but the kitchen open at 5pm. Not many staffs work in the hotel as the country boarder is still closed and not many customers at all. We ordered in-room dining, but due to the lack of staffs, all the food served cold.
Dear unalomew, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We will take your comment to share with our team and will improve our service. We are looking forward to welcoming you back and we all thank you for choosing Tusita Chumphon. Best regards, Poschanan Santatiloggul Senior Business Development Manager

    Good old fashion service.
We stumbled over this hotel after we left another that we could not stay in due to its terrible condition . This hotel has all the makings of service and very helpful staff. Nothing was to much trouble for them and they upgraded us which was fantastic, We meet one of the directors and had a chat with him to discover his father built the business and he was carry on with it. It really is a lovely location and a fabulous place to stay, we travel quite a lot and use hotels frequently and this one is a superb great job Tusita thank you for making our stays so nice.
Dear Setphenmcwilliams, Thank you for taking the time to share your Tusita experience with us. We are glad to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. And on behalf of the entire team, we would be very happy to welcome you back on your next visit to Chumphon. Best regards, Poschanan Santatiloggul Senior Business Development Manager

on the internet it is advertised as romantic. There’s nothing romantic. we paid 3800 baht for a “luxury villa”, a small room. that’s just the critic about the unjust superlatives. The service is ok. The room is clean and well furnished. We arrived in the evening on our way from Phuket to Hua Hin and picked this hotel from your website. As it is by far the most expensive, we expected something more. Because there were not many guests, for obvious reasons the breakfast is on pre-ordering. It’s oké but not what we do p-refer and are used to.

My first time to Chumphon province, and this resort's remoteness attracted me - it is quite far from Chumphon town, so I thought it may be a relaxing and unspoiled destination. Indeed, one can reach the resort from Chumphon airport in about 85 minutes, but Surat Thani airport and Ranong Airport are also not that much further. So, easy access in any case. However, you will need a car - there are 2 good restaurants within walking distance, one next door and one 500m away, but since I stayed at Tusita @Beach, which is 750m from the main Tusita Wellness Resort, it is good to have a car. The main resort has the reception for both locations, and a restaurant (breakfast and dinner only), and Spa. The rooms are great - 5 rooms only at the beach location, and 2 of them have a terrace with a hammock and sunbed, and 1 has a private pool (but no hammock or much space for a sunbed). Shower and bath in all rooms. Big minibar fridge with some complimentary soda and water. The beach location is, well, right on a super wide and long beach. However, I am wondering if the municipality is currently not cleaning the beach, as there are so few guests at the moment (my party of 2 were the only guests this past weekend). I hope that it is the case that during normal non-covid times the beach is cleaned regularly. I felt that perhaps the resort could just tidy up the beach immediately in front of the resort - that would be great, and i'm sure it would appreciated by all guests. Rubbish on beaches is a real issue in the whole of Thailand and resorts and restaurants need to all contribute time and effort towards this cause. Next to the resort is a good place to eat, a simple series of shacks producing good food - however, the staff open bottles and throw the bottle caps directly onto the sand. This is a cultural issue which only generational change and education can help - I do note that the Thai government has just in the last few weeks stepped up a campaign to deal with rubbish in thailand and prevent 40% of it from entering the ocean - there is a long way to go. Anyhow, all in all a very nice setting - totally remote and quiet, and with a car you can explore the area and go to restaurants a bit further away. I do hope that efforts to clean the beach are going to be reinvigorated and I hope that, in some way, the resort could pressure the next door restaurant to clean up and dispose of its rubbish better.

My wife and I stopped over for a night for the second time on our drive to Southern Thailand. Very nice resort with well appointed rooms and friendly staff. Great personal touch from Abdalla, the GM, introducing himself to all guests at breakfast. Abdalla also quickly arranged a small bouquet of flowers which we urgently needed in the morning. Well recommended and we plan to visit again.

This resort is one of the best locations we ever stayed in Thailand. The staff is doing everything to feel like to stay at friends. The rooms are in small wooden houses which are staying in beautiful tropical garden. Everything is very clean and food in restaurant is very tasty. We really enjoyed our trip. The resort is located in traditional country side region of Thailand. If you search action like in Phuket or Krabi then you are wrong there. It's really the best place for relax. If you want make trips to other locations you should have a rental car. The beach is approx 5min. walking distance from the resort. It's also very natural. No shops and only very few beach restaurants. In rain season it's not really usable, because of storms there is a lot of stuff and rubbish from Ocean. But after end of storm season it'll be cleaned by local goverment.

Our second stopover here en route from Bangkok to our home in Samui, and -- as before -- I said to my partner that we really should spend more than one night here, relax at the spa, and explore the surrounding area. It's a very pleasant resort, well maintained and with attractive landscaping. The staff seem enthusiastic and very willing, and the general manager, with whom I had a chat, seems to be well-experienced. The Deluxe Villa room that we had (exactly the same room as our previous stay) works well. While it is quite small, it is practical, has comfortable bed and pillows, and functions just fine. The bathroom works well -- we particularly appreciated the large shower. And there is a large furnished terrace outside, just perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening drink. Only after our stay did I look at the property's website and discover there are two other beach-side locations as well as the garden area in which we stayed. We must give those a try next time around!

We did a short family vacation to Chumphon. We stayed in a jacuzzi beach villa. There were very few guests...it is off-season. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Abdalla, the General Manager, who is very well traveled, does an excellent job along with his employees. Our 6-year old daughter loved the beautiful pool in the main resort. We highly recommend this resort...and hope to return someday soon...Thank you all...
