Booked the family room for 4, on ground floor (as reception). The room was pretty spacious, with 4 beds (one was double decker). Staffs were friendly, especially Niro (the young chap) who spoke English pretty well and helped us in carrying the luggages through the long staircase into/out of the inn. Breakfast can be ordered at USD3. But it was very convenient to just walk out (5 min) to the bustling street of Ella town to get foods/ shopping. Ella train station is just 3-5min away by car or 5-10min by walking. Enjoyed visit to Ella town (nine arch bridge, mini adam's peak -- done both in just few hours in the afternoon we arrived to this little town) and this stay in Blue View Inn. Liked the cooling weather of this mountainous area.
Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms, bathrooms were clean spacious comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Close to Ella and station. Beautiful watching dawn from balcony. I would definitely stay here again and for longer.
Initially a little tricky to find, but when you see the first sign, walk a little further and you'll see the accommodation to your right, down some steps and there it is on the left. I had a wonderful stay there. The owner Dharma was a fantastic owner, even offering to let me stay at the property hours after checkout while I wait for my train. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Would highly recommend this accommodation! A head's up, if you arrive by train, don't follow the crowds to the right, look for a road to the left, past the ATM. It is a much faster way to get to the property.
The most comfortable beds and bed sheets I've ever slept in. The service was incredible, the location is central to the town, but you're still surrounded by nature, the breakfast was great. There is a travel sheet that gives you distances to all of Ella's main attractions downstairs.
Happy I changed from another homestay which was looking out over the ugly high rise hotels they seem to be building in Ella. Had a large family room overlooking the gardens. Homestay is just 5 mins from the Main Street but feels a world away. Helpful family, made suggestions for walks in the area - if going to Little Adams Peak go to 98 Acres for lunch/drink then follow the signs to Nine Arches. From here we saw no other tourists until we reached the bridge. Good breakfast & they can arrange onward transport
